Yup it was love. No doubt about it. The looks, the protectiveness, the desire to never hurt. There was no way around it and it brought a warmer smile to his features as he nodded. “And I never would have thought you would.” Giving Elly a slight knudge with his elbow he tried to get her to back off a little. The poor thing had enough going on it seemed like, no need to attack an ally right now, the last thing they needed to do was alienate their daughter and her girlfriend. They were so affectionate with each other, it was adorable, made him want to take pictures in fact so they could be framed. Then again that might just be his dad side coming though…. “Well, I’ll probably stay out here to look for work and a new place while your mother goes back east and wraps things up out there, you know she’s an old pro at this sorta thing.”
The warm smile remained plastered to his face as Everest tripped in. “Sure thing E, we’ll just hunker down here for now.” Smiling he waved to the man as he retreated again. “It might take us a little bit to find a place, until then we’re probably going to hit up one of the local hotels so our first supper might be take out, but hey, that never hurt, right?” Hearing that bags still needed snagging he stood carefully trying not to unsettled Elly. “I’ll get it, no need to worry.” With that he disappeared out the door with ease to snatch up a few more bags right behind the Asian woman.
