The sudden change in the girl caused him to frown slightly when the girl wasn’t looking. Giving a concerned glance over to Emma he tried to find understanding of what was going on. His hand remained in the air a good moment and he began to wonder if the girl was going to shake though a second later she did before quickly retracting back into her self again. Someone had hurt this kid bad. Maybe this was something he could talk to Emma about later, she’d have to know something, right? The question caused a rather surprised look to cross his features and he blinked several times trying to figure out just what the heck was going on here.
Emma removed her self from the seat between the two of them and the older racer gave her a look of understanding and reassurance as she moved towards her girl. Whatever was going on he certainly hoped they could work it out. Something about this kid gave him a good feeling, even if he couldn’t figure out what exactly about her it was. Hearing Ellen speak he frowned at her for a moment before adding in his two cents. “If Emma wants to stay here it’s fine. We’ll just have to get a place close by so you can come over for dinner on Sundays.” He smiled warmly at the two girls, hoping the invite would calm the girl Emma seemed to care pretty deeply for if had any guess about his daughter at all, assuming she was still like the girl he remembered all those years ago.
