Sam’s words summed up everything Ellen wanted to say but somehow was incapable of making her mouth form. Even though removed from the hug she allowed a hand to rest on her daughters shoulder as a continued sign of affection and a secret way of reconfirming the girl was real. Thoughts continued to swim through her head. It was amazing what the Asian lady had done for them. She almost single handedly had restored their family. How could she ever repay the girl before them? Her thoughts were interrupted however when a new face stormed in making a rather loud ruckus before so rudely interjecting into their time and their conversation.
A glare was directed at the dark haired girl and words began to form on her lips, however Emma spoke before anything more then air could be released. This rather rude girl seemed to be a friend of her daughters. Letting her eyes rake over features for a moment something seemed off about the younger woman in front of her. Something about the kid seemed almost…. Angry? No. There was some other piece that she was missing. When Emma spoke again however things suddenly cleared up. This girl was her daughter’s girlfriend. Emma did have consistency in her taste for liking the rough around the edges types. Eyes narrowed as she examined the girl. “How long?” Her tone softened as she asked the simple question, her view turning to look at Emma as a hand reached up to stroke the girls hair, and eyes secretly checked for bruises that she feared may be another consistent piece of the types Emma chose.
When Iden proceeded to excuse her self Ellen offered her a genuine smile and gave the woman a nod in response to her words.
