Katherine stood in the center of the lobby letting her legs slide out to the side until the lie flat on the cool tile floor. Reaching to one side and then the other she pressed her torso flat against her legs stretching out her body. Back to center focused determination hardened her features. Breath was drawn in slowly as fists on hips she squeezed her legs back together raising herself with the power in her thighs.
The eldest watcher had been so bogged down in research and seeing to the girls. This was the first quiet moment she had seen in quite sometime. Everyone was still asleep. Finally there was enough room for her favored excersize. It felt good to let her mind go and focus on her body. Springing forward she caught her weight on her hands and straightened into a perfect handstand. With each inhale of breath she lowered her head within centimeters of the floor. And with each exhale pushed herself back up. After several repetitions she regained her feet and focused on tumbling-dive rolls, kip ups and flares.
Finally warmed up she raced towards the stairs. Just shy of the bannister she jumped and ran up the railing. As the landing approached she leapt towards the arched alcoves that lined the landing. Her hands caught the column perfectly spinning around it. The back of her knees caught the next pillar and she released her grip following the momentum around. As her body curled towards the landing her legs straightened. Her speed caried her forward hurtling through the air. Springing from one leg to another she ran along the walls a smile on her face. Her body was alive again, singing again. Her rhythm was perfect. Then a door opened to her left, the door she was going to use as her next rebound point. With a cry she hurtled towards the person on the other side of the door crashing into a heap atop them. "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
