Emma’s lips curled into a smile and somehow hearing the younger woman’s opinion helped calm her. Nobody had ever told her these abilities were easy, nor that they were a curse. She’d come to that conclusion herself a long time ago but perhaps it was time to consider looking at it in a different light. In time the Empath hoped whatever this was, curse or blessing, it would help her and the others while doing as little harm as possible. For now she soaked up the reassuring words coming from her girlfriend as her muscles began to relax. Her mind drew strength from Kel’s motions, the walls surrounding her thoughts and blocking out the others increasing steadily. It wasn’t long before the only voices she heard were her own and Kelsey’s. “Yeah, I guess they have their cool factors. It’s just. . .a lot to handle sometimes.”
When her slayer’s fingers moved down her cheek she nuzzled into it, a low, pleased sound releasing from her throat. Soft lips pressed to her own and she melted into the kiss. The Empath let it take over her senses so that if only for a moment she could enjoy being lost in all that was Kelsey’s kisses. They were sweet, addictive and passionate, leaving a craving throbbing in her mouth and along her lips. Words tore her from temporary bliss, replacing the slight glaze over her pupils with a spark of something wicked. “Oh yeah?” she challenged in a low, purred tone a mere inch from her lover’s ear. Following the slayers guidance, the Telepath had settled on her back and stared up at the younger woman. A small, barely visible shiver pulled through the redhead as fingertips danced down her body. Raising a hand she cupped the slayer’s cheek, caressing the delicate skin and watching her for a minute. Elegant digits trickled down a sensitive porcelain slope of flesh, pressing inward with minimal pressure as the older woman tugged Kelsey down. The slayer was met with a fiery kiss which the Telepath held until she required air, purring heatedly afterward in the brunette’s ear, “show me.” A brief rub of noses occurred before Emma returned to laying down, the gleam in her eyes not once flickering.
