Kel shifted as Emma spoke. It wasn’t a matter of ‘dealing’ with one another it was a matter of acceptance in a sense. “I don’t think most of them would be hunky-dory with murder Emma and we both know that we’d love to do that.” It was the truth, the idea of killing someone thrilled the slayer beyond words and she’d guess from the conversation her and Emma had that first night the empath was far from opposed to the idea her self. “We’re not like them Emma. We’re…. darker. Some of the shit I love would horrify the fuck out of someone like Tara I bet. They’re a lot closer to normal then you or I will ever be.” She sighed, Emma was all convinced that nothing would happen but at the same time Kel was sure if she laid her darkest desires on the line that there would be more then one repercussion to deal with.
Eyes narrowed as Emma spoke about her father. The grit of anger stuck to the edges of her voice as she then spoke in turn. “It’s not hiding Emma. He was right. People aren’t worthy of shit. People are greedy fuckers who just want what whatever the want and won’t care who gets in their way. Even if they don’t seem like bad people it doesn’t mean they’re good either Em.” She shifted at the allies comment. Could the people here really be allies? That was still questionable at the current stand point. “Listen Emma, people normally don’t like me. I say the wrong things. I don’t get them and they don’t get me. I’m fine with that, I’m not going to go out of my way to try to play nice. If people don’t like it, they can fucking deal and I’ll fight without them.” A sigh fell from her lips at the gentle touch from the empath and something inside the slayer seemed to calm instantly.
The new words caused her to shift and sigh again as the slayer appeared thoughtful. “I don’t talk to people Emma, it’s not comfortable or useful normally. I just didn’t talk before and I talk to people here more then I ever have with anyone in my life. What else do you want from me?” Her eyes slowly drifted over to Emma. “I’ve talked to you and Faith and Katherine.” She shrugged at Emma’s words. “I don’t need people Emma.” She wasn’t sure how to explain it but it just wasn’t the way she was really. Relying on others had never been her style and she didn’t see it ever ending up that way. “But… I have been trying to be nice. It’s just not working.” She shrugged, now if seduction had been equated into this situation, there were plenty of people she’d met, however that didn’t seem like it was really what Emma was trying to get at. Emma wanted her to have ‘friends’, which Kel had never really had to begin with. Sure there had been Jamie and Brooke and other she hung out with, but real ‘friends’? Those had been nearly non-existent. Besides, what really was a friend? How did you make one? What were they supposed to do for you? … It really was foreign ground for the slayer and she wasn’t even really sure where to begin. Everyone here was nothing like the people she grew up with, besides Faith, so she had no idea how to relate to them or what even to make small talk about – not that she enjoyed small talk in the least really.
