Waiting for the reply she nodded slowly. Brows furrowed for a moment she frowned. Emma thought love and physicalness was related? Sure Kel could see physicalness and approval being linked as they were in her own head, but… love? Eyes wondered off in thought until Emma finished her sentence causing the normally brash slayer to feel a little shy. Lowering her gaze slightly a very faint smile picked at the corners of her mouth as she nodded. “I uh… never had anything… like, well, um, this… either.” The words were as honest and coherent as they were going to be and something inside of Kel knew the other woman would understand, even without the words really. Letting this all sink in it was really starting to click that this really was something that neither of them had experienced before. For some reason Kel had always felt that since Emma was older she’d understand all of these things better, especially with the powers the other girl seemed to have. However, that seemed to not be the case at all. Neither of them really had a clue at all and even though that made these things a little more awkward, it was a calming notion as well. Kel wouldn’t be the dead weight in this relationship, never understanding anything as Emma stood there waiting for her to catch up.
The question brought her attention back from her own thoughts. “Oh.” The words fell from her lips, a hint of anguish filled her tone on the simple word. “She’s is, uh… was… I guess. The closest thing I had to a best friend.” The slayer frowned. “But hey, so much for her, hasn’t called me once in the past month.” Kel shrugged trying to let the emotions slip away, hoping that soon they’d mean nothing instead of hurting as they did.
