Emma: She wondered what it was Katherine had said to Kel that had her this wound up but if the slayer wanted her to know, she’d tell her. The hand on the younger woman’s arm moved up to give one muscled shoulder an encouraging squeeze, head tilted to one side as she absorbed the statement. The alternative. . .hurt? What did she mean by that? Filing it away for later consideration, she cooed, "then it um, sounds like you’ve already figured it out." A hand reached for her free one, a vibrant smile settling on her lips as she attempted to catch the baby slayer’s eyes. "Is there, um, anything else about it I might be able to um. . .help with?" She was wandering through the dark on this topic and even as she tried to help her girl something about the vibe of their discussion felt. . .familiar.
Kelsey: The slight squeeze on her shoulder caused some form of relief to flow through her body as a sigh was released. “I, uh… I guess… I guess maybe I have.” Eyes met Emma’s when they came back up to the redhead’s face something deep within them much more emotional involved in the look then any she had previously given the Empath. “Mmm.” Kel nodded slightly as eyes dipped back down to their interwoven fingers. Turning their bound hands this way and that for a moment she watched, realizing just how well the extremities seemed to fit together. Pausing for a moment she then leaned up slightly, removing her hand from the Telepaths and wrapping her arms around the other woman. Laying back she pulled Emma down onto the bed with her gently, letting and partly directing Emma come to rest partially on top of her. Closing her eyes the slayer intentionally took a few slow and deep breaths. There was really only one way to go about this.
With arms wrapped around the Emapth she gave the other woman’s body a slight squeeze before relaxing her grip so that if Emma desired she could easily remove her self from the position. “Katherine… what we talked about… she…” Another slow breath was deeply inhaled causing her chest to rise before the air was slowly let out of her lungs. “She thinks I’m in love with you.”
Emma: Her eyes locked with the slayer’s, the force of her girlfriend’s emotions holding her captive. Dark orbs spoke volumes she couldn’t completely understand before moving away to stare at their hands. The shifting of weight caused the Empath to adjust herself along with Kelsey’s redirection. Resting her head on the slayer’s shoulder, she braced for whatever words were to come. Smiling warmly at the tightened embrace, her thoughts shattered once Kel revealed the topic of discussion. Love? It was such a complex term, one which she still had little to no grasp of. From all she’d seen love was a whirling maelstrom of turmoil and betrayal. That was nothing like what she felt for Kelsey. They had their disagreements but even those couldn’t change this unnamed emotion they both felt. Perhaps there was a different aspect to this "love" thing she hadn’t been exposed to? A million thoughts ran amuck in her brain as she desperately searched for a reply. "That’s um. . ." she began, still gathering her response. "That’s possible. I’ve um, I’ve never been in love before so, um, I. . .I don’t know but um. . .it makes sense."
