Congrats are in order, I think, for Falmouth. Or did we all forget there was a match that happened what with all the other utter rubbish going on? I'll never understand why anyone's so interested in who is shagging who. Are we still in school? Honestly. The real story in that rag was the most charming smile! Though, I dunno that I agree with 'em...

Anyone have any suggestions for how to distract a six year old from a topic she's really interested? Please. Help.

Kenmare versus Wigtown this weekend should be quite the matchup.

I will not side with either team, but I will be there to scope out the competition. What's your kid stuck on, anyway?

Always a fair strategy. I won't be supporting either team, but will be there trying to keep Ember from bringing the stadium down or something.

Something I'd really rather not discuss with a six year old. I thought I had a few years left at least.

What is your stance on bribery?

Oh. I've been burned by that already.

See the problem with bribing is that eventually the cost goes up. An icecream might be worth the bed being made, but it isn't going to cover also cleaning up the playroom. And next time, it isn't even going to cover the bed because she's had that flavor and really, it's alright, but not earth shatteringly good. It is a slippery slope before you've spent all of your money and patience...

What can I say? The closest I've got to parenting is trying to stop a pair of rambunctious kittens from nagging an old lady cat.

Some people never truly graduate.

I always throw a toy. My dogs go running right after it. That's the same right?

I don't have kids.

I am no means an expert because I usually give the kids back when they're being too annoying and I'm typically the distraction, however I suggest getting her fixated on another subject. Music. Or sport. I'm particularly fond of a vigorous game of tag.

Interesting idea. Introducing another living thing into this house that is already incredibly zoo-like...Hmmm.

It could work. Though I think six might be a bit too young, don't you?

Well that's good. Otherwise you might end up late for work.

But I meant that everyone seemed a bit distracted from the Falmouth victory.
