Percy Weasley follows rules (after making them) ([info]arulefollower) wrote in [info]quiddtalk,

I am man enough to admit that I am not looking forward to the look my sister-in-law gives me when they pick up their daughter after this weekend. However, what is an uncle to do when you are capping off a lovely Saturday afternoon tea with a visit for the toy store?

However, the look might have to do with her seven year old learning the joys of diving on a broom. Which, for the record, I had no hand in teaching her. I just provided the appropriate safety measures to insure we won't need to call on any healers anytime soon.

Percy, you're getting reckless!

I know, how dare I put down cushioning charms on the ground.

Did she fall just to have a go at them?

I would not put it past her. My niece is a bit of a daredevil.

She's a Weasley, aren't you all a bit daring?

Oh no, I am quite boring.

I'm going to preface this by admitting that I'm not the best at reading. But it almost sounds like you did something cool, Weasley.

I was the favourite uncle for the weekend at the very least.

There's some heavy completion in the uncle department from what I understand?

We could easily staff a quidditch team if we had wanted to.

To be fair, I am the exact same with my nephews and nieces.

They cannot seem to manage it for too long. Apparently I have one of 'those' faces, whatever that means.

That is the argument I am making. As if I would do anything to endanger my niece.

It would require stupidity and lack of subject knowledge, I imagine.

It would, but I have learned it is best to not cross a mother when it comes to the safety of her child.

I do not recall the last time I was declared a 'fun' anything. Unless it was fun ruiner.

Perhaps I will hold the title until my brother Charlie shows up with a dragon.

I am thinking that this seems fair. Dragons would beat most things.
