Of all the things Lia was expecting being asked out was the last thing on her mind. For some reason the way he seemed to ask her out and admit it probably wasn’t a good time made her let out a soft friendly laugh and actually smile. Well, it wasn’t bad and she could always owl the bakery to bring the order. “Sure. I’d like that.” She said sort of surprised with her answer considering this wasn’t really what she was expecting. Lia was actually expecting a kiss and dash moment from either of them. Awkward situations and all weren’t exactly the most fun after all. Lia wasn’t sure why she added the fact that she’d like it. Perhaps because it would be a lot easier to know someone a little better having kissed them. Lia wasn’t the type that could just kiss a bloke and not want to at least talk for a couple of moments. It seemed like a good idea.
She’d be lying to herself if she told herself her heart wasn’t beating fast from the strange situation she was on. As his hands reached her cheeks she felt one of her own go to his side, perhaps out of balance, perhaps as it seemed natural. She was surprised as the kiss wasn’t nearly as awkward and well bad as she thought it’d be. It was actually really nice, it was kind and unlike what she had expected that she actually smiled as she looked back up to him. He seemed really kind, and actually wanted to make this less awkward for both of them. Lia appreciated it more than she was probably ever going to be able to communicate to him.
“I’m Lia.” She said after a beat, figuring he probably had no idea who she was. Why would he after all? Her name wasn’t plastered all over the place with rumors and lies going on about her.
