"I'm so sorry to be a bother," she whispered, wincing and trying not to look like she was in too much pain. The spell he cast helped but it wasn't much and she gave him a grateful smile. It really was very nice of him to come over and help her like this. "I feel like such an idiot." It was a good thing she'd had her wand on her to summon her journal.
Emma took a deep, steadying breath. Her arm draped around his neck and the second he lifted her, her ankle moved and she let out a gasp of pain, eyes instantly watering. She saw stars in front of her eyes and her vision blackened. Emma's head lolled against Adrian's shoulder and she was semi-aware that the pain seemed to be less as she moved in and out of conciousness. He smelled nice. That wasn't something she normally notice and she could barely get herself panicked over the fact that he was holding her in his arms. She'd never been this close to a man before. Not since... well, the incident in school. Whimpering, she trembled in his arms, completely aware of how warm he was and how comforting it really was.
"It really hurts Adrian," she whimpered, using his first name, trying not to burst into tears.
