As George went off to go do what George needed to do Alicia was left standing with Captain Jim. He looked rather confused and a little bit less angry than he had been earlier. Perhaps it was the promise of a very nice meal or perhaps he was somewhat amused by herself and George. Alicia decided on starting a conversation about the weather and weather patterns and how they work with fishing claiming that weather had always fascinated her and making sure that things made sense were great. Not that weather ever made sense, but Captain Jim was pretty enthusiastic about the whole conversation which made Alicia's wondering how long it was taking George a lot better.
"Should we go get him?" Captain Jim asked as the conversation on weather died down.
"Oh, gosh no, he's got it covered. He's much better with cabbie's than I am." Actually Alicia was pretty sure that part wasn't true but that was only because she knew more of the muggle stuff than he did sometimes. She was hoping while he was out and about figuring something out the cab would be on the list of things to figure out. She was pretty sure it would be.
"Uh… How'd you two wind up wantin' to get married on my boat." He asked although Alicia had already explained it she figured he was showing some sort of interests in them and perhaps before he wasn't really listening. After all listening to a pint sized girl waving her arms around and being a bit over excited about something could possibly make it hard to listen.
"Well, I had dinner with my mother and sister tonight and let's just say I'm not a fancy wedding dress girl, besides shouldn't getting married be about being married and not just some overpriced fancy thing that half the people who are there get bored within 20 minutes?" Alicia asked with a shrugged. "We're more have a big fun party type of people." Alicia added with a nod and a smile. Captain Jim nodded and Alicia was nearly positive she could see a bit of a smile. Maybe she was seeing things, but one never knew.
Finally Alicia's eyes read as she waited for George to appear and he finally did. Sure it hadn't been that long but it was still long enough for her to start to wonder where he was and what was taking so long.
"Brilliant!" She said kissing George on the cheek.
It might have been only 20 minutes but Alicia felt like it could have been a lot longer, Captain Jim heard more about how George and Alicia had met and how they'd been together for years and it was just time for the whole official official thing. He seemed more relaxed to Alicia, or he had until the cabbie showed up and they all had to stuff themselves in the back. The front sit was filled with food.
It smelled like getting into a middle eastern restaurant and Alicia was in the middle between George and Captain Jim. The cabbie started off with loud music before turning it down some and screaming over it in a thick accent. "WHAT BRINGS YOU GROUP OUT TONIGHT?" Alicia nearly laughed and turned to look at George. He could take this answer.
