Emma let out a sigh of relief when Zach showed up. Thank Merlin. She was about to leave or worse, move down and sit next to Adrian just so she'd be left alone. She really hated being out in this sort of situation. It was uncomfortable and awkward and just- well, it wasn't her scene. She preferred her sofa and a book. Preferably something written in another language. Or maybe playing with the Falcon's statistics. She forced a smile when Zach kissed her on the cheek, still not used to anyone touching her but she understood what the gesture was for. It was nice and it kept the bloke away from her. "My hero," she murmured, sighing gratefully when the other guy wandered off.
Crossing her legs, she thought that perhaps, now she could have a glass of wine and then Zach would let her go home. She came out and she did something social. He had to be proud of that. "I'm glad you're here," she said, raising her voice a little to be heard over the crowd. "I was beginning to think I'd have to go sit next to Mr- Adrian."
Looking him up and down, she smiled, her bright, blue eyes lighting up. "You look very nice," she said, shaking her head. He was more put together than she was. Emma was comfortable in just about anything but preferred her sweats. However, when she went out, she wad always dressed impeccably and it was rare when she wasn't in a pair of heels. Some things, you were just born into and style and fashion had been a big part of her muggle life.
