Roger’s smile perked up considerably when Lia approved of the drink order. “You are a fucking lifesaver, love, you know that?” Ah, yes, swearing, another awful habit of his. As he listened to her talk, his head tilted to the right side as it often did during conversation. The way she talked about this place, the pride that colored her words and the enthusiasm made him want to learn more; Roger truly loved listening to people talk and found the human condition endlessly fascinating… it isn’t hard for him to listen to someone prattle on for hours about, well, anything. Giving a bit of a chuckle, he stood up from the bar, swayed ever so slightly before grabbing a chair. Lia would make for interesting conversation, he was sure of it.
“You’re adorable, you know. The way you go on about this place, this is your passion… seeing others having a good time. I couldn’t imagine you stuck inside some cube farm inside the Ministry.” His face pulled a grimace then he ran his fingers through his hair, tousling the already messy, black locks and causing them to cascade in a riot around his face. “My brother works there, you know.” He jerked his head backwards to indicate Keane, standing a good ten feet away with his back turned towards them talking and laughing with friends. “Floo network. I honestly don’t know how he does it. I’d go mad in there, but it makes him happy, so there you go.” A sigh escaped his lips and that rogue smile returned. “Lia Moon, huh?” The name seemed familiar, but fuzzy, like trying to remember portions of a dream from months prior. He chalked it up to probably hearing the name at Hogwarts. “I’m Roger Davies. It is a pleasure.” He extended his hand outward to shake hers.
