Emily laughed, "I'm no complaining in the least bit," she shouted up the stairs. She managed to get the water boiling and in the process of dinner she managed to work her way out of her slacks, blouse and shoes, down to her black lacy underwear and coordinating bra. Who said you needed to dress for dinner? Not to mention she herself didn't have much of an appetite but she'd get Sara to eat something even if she had to sit on her.
When the Tortellini was perfect she strained the water and added some premade Primavera sauce, she couldn't be bothered making it from scratch. She scooped enough for Sara, set it on a tray with two wine glasses and silverware and tucked the bottle under her arm before heading upstairs.
Jackson and Cash were curled up on the foot of the bed and Emily raised an eyebrow at them. "Oh do not think you're getting special treatment now."
She set the tray next to Sara and pointed to their beds. "Go on now."
Jackson and Cash barely looked at her. "I've created two monsters. I may or may not have let them hog the bed when you were working all night."
She slipped in next to Sara, minding the tray as she set the wine bottle on the nightstand. "I can't be bothered with pajamas either," she shrugged.
