Summary: Katie wakes up in bed with her best friend and then his son discovers them. Awkward times will commence.

Katie made a small whine as the sun hit her face. Rolling over, she pulled the sheets up over her head, after a bit of difficulty. It was as if someone else was on them. Once she got them over her head, she realized that they felt...different.

"NO!" She muttered to herself, sitting up, everything from last coming back to her. Covering her mouth, she closed her eyes and tried to wipe out the image of her shagging her best friend out of her mind. Not that is had been horrible, in fact...

Katie couldn't remember the last time she'd had it so good. Roger, yeah, but she was used to him.

She slid back under the covers and looked up at the ceiling, trying to figure out how to deal with this before Oliver woke up and freaked out.

Oliver wasn't used to waking up with anyone in his bed that wasn't under the age of 10. Nor was he used to waking up so sore and... naked. Why was he naked. He rolled over and found a very warm and non-Colin like lump in his bed. He cracked open one eye and blinked.

Shite.

"Kates...did we?" He asked, it not really sinking in. Merlin, Katie Bell, his best friend, the girl he trusted and adored more than any other witch... and he had shagged her. And it was good. It was damn good. And part of him was wondering what it would be like to do it again.

	Katie nodded, having felt him wake up and knew he was having the same 'wtf' moment that she'd had moments before. "Twice, I think..." though, if he counted the blowjob, three. Oliver rolled over on his back and took a deep breath. This was awkward, very awkward and oh Godric was Hannah scheduled to come over this morning. He breathed a sigh or relief when he realized he was at least in the clear on that.

"You're on protection, right?" That would be his luck. Get laid for the first time in eight years and have a repeat of why he hadn't had sex in eight years. At least it would be Katie. He could tolerate her, unlike his late wife.

Katie rolled her eyes. Of course she was. She was a twenty-something woman in 2004, she wasn't an idiot. "Of course not, Oliver. You and your super sperm have me knackered with twins. However will I handle it all," she said dully.

"Honestly, I'm not stupid...drunken sex aside." She added.

The last thing they needed was an ankle biter. He already had one, not that she didn't adore him, but Oliver was just getting his life back together. She didn't want to be the cunt who ruined it for him again.

"Sorry, yeah... I know." Still he had reason to be paranoid. He turned his head at looked at her. He had no idea what to do right now. After all, she was Katie. She was different. He cared about her and this could likely screw up their friendship.

He fought the urge to wrap his arms around her. He had no idea if it was appropriate. He had no idea WHAT was appropriate right now.

	He reached over and pushed her hair off her forehead. "Katie," he sighed softly. He was scared and most importantly he was worried about her. He didn't want this to ruin what they had. She was too important to him and to Colin. If he didn't know Katie, think she wasn't the kind of girl to get serious, he might try something. But he just wasn't sure. Katie shrugged. "I suppose." If he wanted it to be, she wasn't going to demand more sex. Katie knew how to handle one-night stands, but she also knew how to handle more. She just wished she knew what Oliver was looking for. He'd been so unsure about relationships, because of Colin, it was hard to know how much to push him, even to other women, not that she wanted to.

She'd feel bad, wanting another man while she was shagging Roger so frequently, but there was nothing there but sex. If he found someone else, she'd have no issues finding another friends with benefits relationship. She was an adult, after all.

He felt like he had said the wrong thing, and he had hurt her and that was the last thing he ever wanted to do. "What do you want, Katie? Merlin, you know I am rubbish. Even before Anna I was rubbish." He kissed the top of her head. The last thing she wanted was to lose her from his life.

There was a part of him that didn't want to risk their friendship, and there was another part that had to admit that it felt good to hold her and that conflict was driving him insane.

	Oliver couldn't refuse a request like that. He leaned down and gently pressed his lips to hers, hesitant at first. Her lips felt soft and she felt good and it was all very confusing but he really liked it. His body was certainly agreeing, but he was too engrossed in the kiss to be embarrassed. Oliver didn't let go of her, and kissed her forehead. "I'll be down in a minute, Colin. And Katie is coming for breakfast, so set another plate." He waited until he heard footsteps going down the hall before he breathed a sigh of relief.

"You were tired and spent the night. He's eight, he won't think anything of it and it's not like we are lacking in bedrooms." He reluctantly let go of her. "Um, the loo is through the door on my side of the bed." He slid out of bed and stood up, only slightly embarrassed by his naked body. "Umm, do you want a t-shirt or something?"

She sighed in relief. "Good plan."

Katie's body felt cold upon being released. "Yeah...where are my-" she grabbed her knickers and pulled them on, running a hand though her hair. Luckily, she was a witch and she transfigured their empty alcohol bottle into a hair tie.

She looked him over, withholding a 'damn'. He looked good.

Stepping over, she leaned up and kissed him before heading into the loo, letting him do with that what he would.

Oliver pulled out a pair of sweats and two t-shirts, tossing one on the bed for Katie. He got dressed and tried to comb his hair down, but gave up. It didn't matter. He'd take a shower after Colin started his lessons. He tried not to think of Katie joining him in the shower after she kissed him.

He shook his head and tried to concentrate on acting normal, which was hard to do when he wanted to shag her again.

Katie threw the shirt on and rinsed her mouth out in the sink. She washed her face and did her best to look as if she'd jut slept over, not spent the night shagging.

She sighed. This would have to do until she got to take a shower...

"Wonder if Oliver will want one too," she muttered, smirking before leaving the loo.

"We should get downstairs," she said, leaning in the doorway. She really hoped that Colin bought the whole 'slept over' thing. He was getting older and wiser, after all.

Thank Godric there wasn't any practice today, and he could be hung over without risking getting hurt. He nodded, thinking she looked damn sexy in his shirt. He grabbed her and kissed her soundly before letting her go to go downstairs.

The mansion was huge, but his room wasn't too far from the small breakfast room. Oliver preferred having meals here versus the grand dining room because who needs a table for twelve for just two? He ruffled his son's hair, noticing his plate was half empty. "Started without us?"

Colin nodded, "I was hungry!" He glanced over to Katie, "Katie! Did you come over to go flying today?" He didn't seem to notice anything strange, yet.

Katie pouted. Why did he have to kiss her like that? Sneaking in another, she followed him to the kitchen.

"His handsome, how's my favorite godson?" She kissed the top of his head and hid a smile. "You know, what. I did and your dad here was nice enough to let me sleep in one of the spare bedrooms last night so I wouldn't have to get up so early this morning. Don't you have such a thoughtful father?"

She took a seat next to him, wiping a bit of syrup off of his cheek.

Oliver looked at his son, "You have lessons young man. You've got to catch up on your work since I let you come to practice last week." He wanted to get a few moments alone with Katie once Colin was working. Though he really did need to clear his mind of those thoughts and what she looked like under those clothes.

Or the fact this breakfast was far too comfortable and familiar.

Katie gave Oliver a 'look'. The Godmother was supposed to encourage some fun, after all. "I can help and maybe when he's done you can let him have a bit of fun. He'll be at Hogwarts soon, don't you want to get in all the flying time you can with him before then?"

Good lord...Hogwarts. They were old.

She caught Oliver looking and smiled, giving him a wink. He knew that she couldn't resist when it came to the little guy. He was her Kryptonite.

And this was all familiar, aside from the fact that they'd shagged. But it was nice.

Oliver shook his head. He knew when he was going to be defeated. "How about after breakfast you go get your reading work done while Aunt Katie and I talk, and then you two can go out and fly." Oliver eyed Katie, hoping that was okay. He wanted another few moments alone with her. Naked... no he needed to get that thought out of his head.

Colin looked at Oliver and sighed, "Fine."

Oliver looked at his son, "Manners, Colin." He tried to be strict, even if sometimes he failed.

Colin tried not to roll his eyes, "Sorry Dad. Aunt Katie, did you know that I finally got a real broom? Not a training broom? But Dad put a height restriction on it."

Aunt Katie sounded so creepy now...probably because Aunt Katie had been shagging daddy.

She gave Colin a smile. "Don't be like that, young man. Go and we'll have a good flying session, okay? You can teach this old witch your moves." She wasn't old, but to him, yes.

Katie made a mock gasp. "Did he really? Well, that is very exciting. Go do your reading so we can test this new broom out," she told him, ruffling his hair. He looked so much like his father...like he was back in school. Katie had to hide a chuckle.

She glanced over to Oliver and all thoughts of school were gone as she remembered why parts of her felt slightly sore.
