Gift # 32 TO:every1sangel FROM:yvonnereid TITLE: Jude...A Home For Christmas GIFT REQUEST: Fic. Fluff/Schoomp/WarmAndFuzzyFeelings. Brian and Justin and I would like a nice fluffy family aimed Christmas piece. Maybe one where they have Gus or have adopted a child in addition to Gus so they have the kids for Christmas and different family things you do at Christmas. Norman Rockwell Painting-esque
The sparkly decorations lit up Britin manor, like they had done for the past five years at Christmastime.
Justin loved to sit back and just admire them after arranging them all perfectly himself.
Brian would say, “It's bad enough I have to look at them, why the fuck would I help you put them there,” if Justin suggested they put them up together.
No, the decorations were always put up by Justin, and in the future, most likely things would remain the same.
Smiling to himself, Justin went into the kitchen to put the kettle on. Brian wouldn't be home for a while, so Justin thought he would make himself some tea and read this month's edition of Art Forum.
Some time later Justin awoke, having fallen asleep in the armchair in front of the fireplace, to Brian and Cynthia's voices coming from the next room. “He's going to love this Brian, and Justin will too,” Cynthia said.
“I know Justin will love it. I'm just a bit concerned about having a six year old live with us,” Brian replied.
“He's adorable Brian, and Justin will love that you are doing this for him,” she said, smiling.
“I let you talk me into to things far too easily, I must be losing my touch,” Brian said, jokingly.
Justin got up from the chair and quickly made his way into the next room to find a small blond boy sitting at the table looking over at him.
“Brian, what's going on?” Justin asked.
“I'll head back to the office now Brian, and finish up the rest of the paperwork,” Cynthia said, turning to leave. “Hi Justin,” she said, patting Justin's arm on her way out.
“I guess you want an explanation,” Brian said, looking at his husband.
Justin looked over at the boy, who was still staring at him curiously,
“OK then, meet Jude. Cynthia has a sister who works at the orphanage in town, and she told me about the fostering system that they have. I thought that seeing as Gus wouldn't be here this Christmas that I would foster him, but in the few weeks I've known him, I have just, well I, you know...”
“You've fallen in love with him,” Justin said, finishing Brian's sentence.
“Something like that,” Brian replied, looking at Jude.
“Jude, do you remember where the bedroom I showed you is? Your room?” Brian asked.
“Yes,” replied Jude.
“Great, take your bag and coat up there. I'll introduce you properly to Justin when you return,” Brian told the boy.
Jude left the room, and Justin practically jumped into Brian's arms to kiss him, “I can't believe you did this Brian! He's so perfect.”
“I knew you'd love him too, so we're going to adopt him in the new year. He's been staying at Cynthia's for a bit, and he's been here a few times and loves it,” Brian told Justin, “Ugh, give him a few days or weeks until he becomes a spoiled, snot-nosed brat,” Brian said, before returning to kiss his husband.
“He won't Brian. We'll be great parents and he'll love us,” Justin said.
When Jude returned, he greeted Justin with a warm hug, “I hope I don't disappoint you sir, or you, Mr Kinney,” he said.
“I'm Justin, and please don't think that way. Just do what you usually do, and be happy. In this home the only thing you have to do is be happy. Brian and I will do our best to make that so for you, deal?”
Jude smiled, looking at both Brian and Justin before replying, “Deal.”
“Great,” Brian replied. “Oh and one more thing, don't call me Mr Kinney, please. That was my old man's name,” he said, and scrunched up his face, making both Justin and Jude laugh.
Yes, Jude was going to love his new family and home.
In the next few weeks, Jude met the whole family and they all adored him. He even got a new Brian Kinney-esque wardrobe(i.e. designer everything), and had his bedroom decorated in his favourite color -purple. Jude loved his new home, and was very happy.
Four Days Later
“I can't believe you put up the umbrella to walk across that small yard to see Santa,” Justin said, taking off his coat and scarf.
“It was snowing, Justin,” Brian replied, taking of his coat and scarf also.
“It was coming from that big grey machine, Brian,” Jude added.
“Yea, well I'm not spending the next week picking that sh...stuff from my hair. Now why don't you two blond angels go and find something fun to do instead of picking on me,” Brian said, before kissing Justin on the lips and heading into the sitting room. It was very cold outside, so he wanted to put the fire on to keep his boys warm.
Later that night, Brian, Justin, and Jude sat in front of the open fire with hot chocolate, telling their stories about Christmas' past.
“I loved last Christmas most, I spent it at Amelia's house. I stayed there all over Christmas,” the six year old told them. “Amelia is my care assistant at the orphanage,” Jude clarified.
“Well, I think it's past time you went to bed. Go brush your teeth and wash up. We'll be up to tuck you in in ten minutes,” Brian said.
Jude abandoned his empty mug and ran up the stairs, doing as he was asked.
Justin snuggled into Brian, “I love how easily he has settled in, I really hope he's happy here Brian,” Justin said.
“I think he seems to be. He's probably glad to be away from that orphanage, to belong somewhere real, someplace where he's really loved,” Brian told Justin, “Anyway, let's go and tuck the guy in, and then you can give my cock some attention,” Brian suggested.
Justin didn't need to be asked twice, taking care of Brian's perfect cock was Justin's favourite thing to do.
The next week was very busy, with everything that needed to get ready for Christmas.
It was decided that everyone would meet at Debbie's house on Christmas morning for breakfast, and to open a few small gifts. Dinner would be at Britin later that afternoon, having been prepared by top chefs as a thank you to Brian for the great ad campaign he did last month. Then once everyone was happy and full, the big gifts would be opened.
It was going to be a great Christmas, with a big surprise in store for one Mr. Kinney that only Justin knew about.
Christmas Eve Night
After finishing his milk and cookies, and getting ready for bed, Brian and Justin went to tucked him in. They were greeted with a sight that would melt even the most solid hardened heart… Jude on his knees, beside his bed, praying.
“Thank you God for the beautiful home I am staying in this Christmas - I love it here. I know I wish for a beautiful home to live in, with people who are nice taking care of me, a lot, so I really hope Brian and Justin and their whole family want to keep me as theirs. I don't want to go back to St. Matthew's anymore, so this year my wish is… please let this be my home forever, it has a swimming pool and everything. Lots of love from Jude Harris,” Jude said, before opening his eyes and getting up to slip under the covers. He was oblivious to Brian and Justin standing just outside in the hall, small lumps in their throats.
“Aww, that's so sad,” Justin said, “All the poor boy wants is to feel like he belongs somewhere, in a permanent home.” He wiped a stray tear from his cheek.
“Well, now he has a permanent home. He just doesn't know it yet,” Brian confirmed, before both men entered the room to tuck Jude in and kiss him goodnight.
Christmas Day
As soon as Jude opened his eyes, he jumped out of bed and ran over to the window to see if it had snowed overnight. “It snowed!” he yelled, and ran out of the room.
When Jude reached Brian and Justin's room, he quietly opened the door and peaked in. “Aww, that's so sweet,” he whispered, “but unfortunately, all sweet things must come to an end,” he added, before smiling and running over and jumping on the bed.
“There's a rug-rat on our bed,” Brian whispered into Justin's ear, before kissing his cheek.
“I don't even like that cartoon,” Jude said. “It's Christmas morning and it snowed last night! I've never had a white Christmas before.” Jude's excitement was adorable.
“Well, you never will again if you don't get off me,” Brian said, jokingly.
Jude was well used to Brian's jokes now. “Sorry Brian,” Jude said, and got off the bed.
“Where are my presents?” he asked, like any excited six year old would.
“Did we get him anything for Christmas?” Brian asked Justin, just to tease and torture Jude some more.
“Don't say that, Brian. Of course we did, Jude. Why don't you go downstairs and we'll be down in a minute,” Justin told the excited boy.
“Or fifteen,” Brian added, with lustful look in his eyes directed at Justin.
After Jude left the room, Brian leaned in and kissed Justin, “Merry Christmas, Sunshine,” he said after pulling back and looking into the most amazing blue eyes he ever saw.
“Merry Christmas, Brian,” Justin replied. “We need to get up and get dressed. We have to get to Debbie's ASAP, and Jude will need a light snack before we go since it's a bit far for him to go there on an empty stomach,” Justin said, like the mother hen Brian had taken to calling him since Jude moved in.
When Brian and Justin made it downstairs they found Jude waiting for them. He was holding a big brown envelope. “This was in the mailbox. It says it's for you Brian.” He handed it to Brian and walked away into the kitchen.
Brian had no idea what it could be, and took it into his office to open it.
“I don't believe it, Justin!” He yelled for his husband.
“Brian, what is it?” Justin asked, coming into the room.
“It's the adoption papers for Jude, all we have to do is sign them and he's officially ours,” Brian said, very happy. “So this is what Cynthia has been up to behind my back." He picked up a note that had fallen to the fallen to the floor: “A pay raise will be thank you enough, Cynthia” it read.
“Jude will be thrilled! We can tell him about this over breakfast at Debbie's,” Justin said, Brian agreed. Justin hugged him, and Brian moved in for a long slow kiss, “This will be the best Christmas ever.”
On the road to Debbie's, it didn't surprise them to see that Jude had fallen a sleep in the backseat. “Poor boy, he's so excited about today that he has worn himself out already,” Justin joked, looking back at Jude.
When they arrived at Debbie's, Brian had to wake up Jude, who'd slept through the whole journey. “Jude, we are at Debbie's. It's time to wake up,” he said softly.
Jude slowly opened his eyes. “I'm nice and snug here. I don't want to move.”
“I know you are buddy, but it's Christmas morning and there might be some gifts inside for you.”
Jude took off his seat belt and got out of the car.
They quickly made their way to Debbie's house, with Brian carrying some gifts.
Once inside Debbie's, Brian placed the gifts by the tree. “There's a lot of stuff here... are you expecting others or did Ted out-do himself buying too many gifts for me?” Brian asked, looking at Ted .
Ted smiled, and said, “I think you'll be surprised to find that the answer to that, is no. But I got you a used sweater from a charity shop if you really wanted to know what I got you,” he said, sarcastically, before taking a sip of coffee.
“You boy's better be hungry. And where is that little ray of sunshine?" Debbie asked, entering the room.
“Why, I'm right here Debbie,” Justin said.
Debbie kissed Justin's cheek. “I meant the smaller version that could be mistaken for you,” Debbie told him, wiping her red lipstick off his cheek.
“I'm here,” yelled Jude, running into Debbie's arms.
“There you are,” screeched Debbie, hugging Jude tightly. “Merry Christmas, Jude,” she said, not letting go.
“Let him go Deb, he's only six and not strong enough with his breathing yet for the manly hugs you dish out,” Brian told Debbie, extracting her arms from around Jude.
“Thanks,” Jude said, taking a deep breath.
“Oh please, that boy is stronger than all of us put together,” Debbie said, before chuckling and going into the kitchen.
Brian sat on the chair, and sitting right beside it was a coat that looked familiar. “Why is Gus's coat here?” he asked, lifting it up.
“It came with me,” replied a soft familiar voice coming from the kitchen.
“And us,” added another voice, and that was when Lindsay walked in from the kitchen, “Merry Christmas, Brian,” she said, walking over to Brian, leaning down and kissing his cheek.
Gus followed beside Jude, along with Melanie and JR, “Merry Christmas, Dad,” Gus said.
Brian stood up and Gus walked into his arms. Brian quickly hugged his son back. “Sonny boy, I wasn't expecting you to be here.” He was clearly surprised about this turn of events.
“We only found out recently that we could make it, and we wanted to surprise you,” Lindsay said, watching Brian hugging his son.
“Well, you certainly did that. I'm more than happy about you being here,” Brian said, still hugging Gus.
“You can let me go of me now Dad,” Gus said, pulling back from the hug.
“Get your asses into the kitchen, breakfast is served!” yelled Debbie, interrupting the moment.
Once everyone was sitting round the large table Debbie had borrowed from the centre, the food was dished out. “Now I want those plates cleaned, including yours Kinney,” Debbie said, sitting down at the table.
“Yes mom,” Brian said sarcastically.
Soon everyone was chattering round the table and laughing when Brian decided to give Jude, whom he noticed looked right at home beside Lindsay, Melanie and Gus, his first big present. “Jude, would you like to know what your first present is?” Brian asked.
“Yes please,” replied Jude, looking around the room to see if anything there looked like a present for him.
Brian retrieved an envelope and came back to the table. Opening it, Brian pulled out the papers. “Do you see these papers Jude?” Brian asked the confused boy. 'Where was a gift he could open?' he wondered.
“Well, according to these papers you are now our son,” Brian said, threading his fingers through Justin's hand on the table.
Jude’s mouth dropped open, wondering if the wish he made last night had come true?
“What do you think about that, Jude?” Brian asked.
Jude smiled a smile that Brian would say could outshine Justin's in a heartbeat, and ran over into Brian's arms. Justin got in on the hug too, as did Gus who was prompted by Lindsay.
Wiping the stray tear on her cheek, Debbie said, “Beautiful, just beautiful. Welcome to the family Jude. Now everyone eat up, more pancakes on the way.”
Throughout the day some small gifts were opened, and some alcohol was slipped into cups of coffee that were being drank.
Debbie's sitting room was just perfect in her eyes, filled with her family and the newest addition. “So Jude, are you having a good day so far?” she asked.
He smiled excitedly. “Yeah, I can't wait to go back home and open the rest of my presents, though.”

The drive back to Britin was was good fun for Brian, Justin, Jude, and Gus who decided to go along with them. “I so glad to finally meet you today. I've never had a brother before,” Jude told Gus.
“Well, now you have a brother and a sister,” Gus replied. “It's your turn squirt,” he added.
“Ok, I spy something beginning with the letter H,” Jude said.
“Hot,” Brian guessed, jumping in with his answer first.
“It's not hot in here, and you can't spy it with your eye you can only feel it,” Jude said, matter-of-factly.
“Actually, you can see hot... you can see me can't you?” Brian asked the boy, smirking.
Jude looked confused.
“It's not hot Brian,” Justin said rolling his eyes. “Is it hat?” he guessed.
“Yes, you're so smart Justin! Brian never got any right, but you and Gus got all my spy's right.”
As their car pulled into the driveway, the manor looked all cozy, the firplace glowing through the windows.
Once everyone had arrived, they proceeded to sit and have their meal, which was dished up by Alex and Joshua. “Enjoy,” Joshua said.
The whole family ate their dinner and opened gifts at the same time. It was a very joyous time for for everyone.
“Thank you so much for the TV and DVD player. And I love the bike too, Brian and Justin,” Jude said. “Most of all I love you all and my new brother Gus. This is the best Christmas I have ever had in my entire life,” he added.
“We're so glad you are having fun Jude. What about you Gus?” Brian asked.
“I'm having a great day too Dad. And I love everything I got as well, thanks so much,” he said before giving everyone a hug..
It was a very merry Christmas for everyone.
Debbie and the rest of the family stayed at Britin that night watching movies and playing board games. Jude and Gus both enjoyed themselves very much, as did JR.
At bedtime, when the adults were going to bed, Brian and Justin peaked in on Gus and Jude, who along with JR, were asleep on Jude's bed, cuddled into each other with the credits coming up on their DVD. “Awww, look at that. They are all so happy together. I'm glad we could give him a home and a family, Justin,” Brian said.
Justin smiled, looking at Brian, “If someone told you ten years ago this night would happen, you'd never have believed them.”
“I'd also never have believed I would be married to the blond twink that followed me round Liberty Avenue and that I love him more than life itself.”
“Merry Christmas, Brian,” Justin said, and leaned in for a kiss, taking Brian's hand and leading him to their bedroom where they continued to take it further.
