Just stay in and watch TV "Listen, all I want...," Brian pauses before he rephrases, "all we need is a simple ceremony." Again, there is that tiny sting. "Out marriage is not legal anyway. There is no need to make a fuss about it."
Emmett sighs melodramatically. "Where do you want to hold the reception? Cause I don't think we can get the place you booked for the last time on such short notice."
"We'll do it at the house," Brian replies matter-of-factly.
"Sure, and after you and Justin have said your vows, we all sit down with TV dinners and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

The hands you were dealt "I promised I would marry him before New Year's," Brian hears himself say and cringes at how solemn he sounds. This whole marriage talk makes him lesbionic.
"You're Brian Kinney. You don't make promises."
Brian hates how naturally Emmett's comment sounds. But just because he hates it doesn't make it any less true. "I made this one."
Emmett looks at him. "Okay." He flips open a new page on his notebook. "There's nothing I can't handle. Even if it's the impromptu wedding of Brian Kinney." He licks the tip of his pen. "When is it supposed to happen?"
