Starry Night
Justin has met up with Ella to catch up. Brian has decided to skip the nostalgia and roam The Big Apple instead, enjoying the clear, cold night after the shopping-nightmare.
He walks past Rockefeller Center and stops for a minute to look at the tree. It is pretty, with all the lights and people skating on the ice rink. Not that he would ever indulge...
He likes watching them, though, and for the first time in years he wonders if he would still enjoy it, had he moved to New York back when.
How different his life would have been.

3am Brian wakes at 3am when Justin rises from the bed. He joins him by the window of their hotel room overlooking the Manhattan skyline.
Wrapping his arms around Justin, Brian presses a kiss to the back of his neck.
"Any regrets?" he asks, and they both know what he is referring to.
Brian had noticed Justin's gloomy expression when he had returned from Ella. And Justin had noticed that Brian had noticed but they hadn't talked about it.
Now, Justin turns in his arms and he beams up at him, bringing a bit sunshine to a winter night.
