Gusmas 2011: The Worst Holiday Season Ever XXX+XXXI Title: The Worst Holiday Season Ever Setting: post-513 with Justin still in New York Summary: It's not like Brian hates the Holiday season. He loathes it. And on Thanksgiving, Justin gives him one more reason to. Author's Note This starts on a Thanksgiving and follows all 37 prompts in order. Sometimes it's one prompt!day per fic!day, sometimes I use more than one prompt to tell a day in the fic. Does that make sense? I hope it does when you read it.
Prompts: # December 23 - Christmas Eve # December 24 - Chritmas Day
Christmas Eve It doesn't matter where the tree comes from. In exactly the right spot.
It doesn't matter that the living room looks like Santa threw up in it.
It doesn't matter how exhausted Brian is after his trip.
What matters is that Justin is here with him, camped out in front of the fire in a heap of blankets and pillows.
He is tired and sated but Brian can't stop running his fingers through Justin's hair, over his skin. He needs to make sure he's really there.
“I love you,” Justin whispers before falling asleep.
It's the best Christmas ever.
Picture Perfect Everybody is here, their friends and their family. Somehow they have all made it to Britin.
Justin, Debbie and Emmett are in the kitchen, cooking their collective ass off.
Mel and Linds are discussing silverware with Ted and Blake.
And for some reason, Gus has occupied Jennifer and Tucker.
Brian is watching it all, standing by the window, sipping from his scotch.
It's all the things he thought he despised, all the traditions he used to reject on principle. But as he stands there, watching their Christmas extravaganza unfold, he realizes something odd. And it startles him.
