Gusmas 2011: The Worst Holiday Season Ever XXV+XXVI Title: The Worst Holiday Season Ever Setting: post-513 with Justin still in New York Summary: It's not like Brian hates the Holiday season. He loathes it. And on Thanksgiving, Justin gives him one more reason to. Author's Note This starts on a Thanksgiving and follows all 37 prompts in order. Sometimes it's one prompt!day per fic!day, sometimes I use more than one prompt to tell a day in the fic. Does that make sense? I hope it does when you read it.
Prompts: # December 18 - Unexpected Surprise # December 19 - Hanukkah
Unexpected Guest “Brian? What are you doing here?” Ella greets her unexpected guest around a chicken wing.
“Looking for Justin,” he replies matter-of-factly. “Is he here?”
“No, he's...,” Ella sighs, already defeated, “I just put him on a plane to Pittsburgh.”
“You... what?”
“He wanted to surprise you.”
Brian drops his bag. This can't be happening. He must have fallen asleep on the plane and this was a really bad dream. A really, really bad yet strangely elaborate dream.
“So...,” Ella interrupts his disbelief, “you wanna come in? I have spicy chicken wings.”
Plan B “You can always spend post-Hanukkah with me?” Ella offers to break the silence.
For the millionth time, Brian redials Justin's number. “No offense but...,” he holds up the phone, “I got other plans.” He redials again. “He's not picking up. Guess his plane was the last to go out.”
“The two of you really have the worst timing.”
“No shit.”
Ella dumps the last chicken wing back into the bucket. “Alright, it's time for plan B.”
Brian frowns at her.
She flips open her laptop. “We're gotta get you back to Pittsburgh.”
