"What was that about?" Justin asks, straddling him as soon as he comes back to bed. "Is Gus alright?"
Brian runs his hands up Justin's thighs. "Sonnyboy is fine."
"Well?"
"You know how we talked about spending the rest of the week up here?" Brian says, groaning. "Skipping work and fucking each other's brains out?"
"Yeah."
"Guess who's receiving the GLC's hero award this year? And guess whose balls are being threatened by munchers if he doesn't show?"
Sunshine's expression turns heavy at the mention of Pittsburgh. Brian can't blame him; he was enjoying their cabin in sinful paradise, too.
Title: Reason to Celebrate Series: Recovery Author:museme87 Prompt(s): Dec 20th—hanukkah Notes: For the 37-drabble story challenge. This is post-2.03, pre-2.04.
"And where in the hell do you want this one?" Brian asks, holding a box for Lindsay to inspect.
She pushes back her damp hair—it's fucking hot up in this goddamn attic—and opens the box's flaps.
"Oh the Hanukkah decorations. Can you put it in the corner, please?"
Brian does, bitching and moaning the whole way. He shouldn't have offered to help bring some boxes up here; it's turned into fucking spring cleaning.
"So what are you and Justin doing for Pride?"
He snorts. "Nothing."
Lindsay rounds on him. "After everything you two have been through this year?"
Title: Relapse Series: Recovery Author:museme87 Prompt(s): Dec 21st—solstice Notes: For the 37-drabble story challenge. This takes place after Michael brings Brian home in 2.04.
The thing Brian used to love best about winter—long nights filled with sex, booze, and poppers growing so much longer—is tainted. He saw how upset Justin was earlier tonight about seeing fucking Hobbs at the hospice, but nothing could have prepared him for this.
Justin thrashes and screams as the night stretches on for what feels like forever. Brian's never seen him like this before. Holding his hand, he tries to tell Sunshine it's alright, that he's here. It doesn't help, and Justin ends up in tears in his sleep.
Exhausted and helpless, Brian's own eyes grow wet.
