Gusmas 2011: The Worst Holiday Season Ever IIX-X Title: The Worst Holiday Season Ever Setting: post-513 with Justin still in New York Summary: It's not like Brian hates the Holiday season. He loathes it. And on Thanksgiving, Justin gives him one more reason to. Author's Note This starts on a Thanksgiving and follows all 37 prompts in order. Sometimes it's one prompt!day per fic!day, sometimes I use more than one prompt to tell a day in the fic. Does that make sense? I hope it does when you read it.
Prompts: # December 3 - airport (picture prompt) # December 4 - I dare you # December 5 - Outside
Liberty Air
Brian has made a decision. He knows that it defies most of his principles, like: “Never run after a guy.”
But Justin isn't some guy. He has given up that notion a long time ago. Over time, he has become the most important person in his life.
If he was a breeder or some lesbian, he might even go as far as calling Justin – and he'd rather be caught dead than say it aloud – the one.
So he pushes a button on the intercom. “Cynthia, get me on a flight to New York on the 23rd.”
I Dare You
“Are you going to tell Justin?” Cynthia puts a flight confirmation on Brian's desk twenty minutes later.
“No. And you won't either if he calls here.” Brian can't help but smile as he scans the print-out.
Flight 105, Pittsburgh International Airport to New York Newark, December 23rd, 8.25pm.
Despite better knowledge, Cynthia sits down on the opposite side of the desk. “Just ask him to come home. I know you want to. But you're too chicken.”
Brian raises an eyebrow. “Excuse me?”
She grins deviously, not caring if she goes too far. “I dare you.”
Out of Line
“You are way out of line.” Brian rises from his chair, pacing the space of his office in a few long strides.
“What kind of an assistant would I be if I didn't point out the obvious to you?”
It's a shame that Cynthia is right. As usual.
“But instead of just telling him that you want to live with him, you're making the trip to guilt-trip him into coming back,” she adds.
“I am not guilt-tripping him.” Brian jabs a finger at her, scowling. “Besides, don't you have places to be? People to call?”
