Brian navigated the streets at a pace that would have made it seem as if his grandmother was speeding. He planned to get Justin home in one piece. No guarantees on after they arrived, though.
“Where are we going?” Justin asked.
“West Virginia.”
“What?”
“That’s what you said the last time.”
“The last time? What…” Justin’s eyes grew impossibly bigger. “You didn’t.”
“I did.”
“You kept it?”
“Wasn’t mine to get rid of.”
“Brian…”
“I bought it for you, it’s your call what to do with it.”
Justin blinked. “I gotta update my Kinney Operating Manual. This chapter is missing.”

Justin had a moment of déjà vu as they drove up the long driveway. The last time, he and Brian were on tentative footing; this time, they were together. Solid. It was hard being away, but worth it. He was making contacts and getting his work out there. He didn’t know if he’d ever be able to make a living at it, but he had to try. With each success, he was that much closer to home.
To this. To Brian.
He didn’t realize that the car had stopped until Brian spoke. “Ready?”
With a lighter heart, Justin smiled.
“Ready.”

It was stunning.
The wooden floors and accents seemed to glow, the rooms light and airy. The fireplace in the great room was ready to be lit, and the huge Christmas tree took center stage in front of the window. It was tastefully decorated with green, plum and blue balls, and topped with a gold and glass star. Here and there were Stueben ornaments – snowmen, trees and nutcrackers. Tiny white lights sparkled softly.
“I’ve always wanted to make love under the tree,” Justin whispered.
“Can I wrap a bow around your ass first?” Brian asked, embracing Justin from behind.
“Sure.”

“I’ve got good news and bad news,” Brian said, taking Justin’s jacket off and tossing it towards the sofa.
“Already?”
“Afraid so.”
“Okay, gimme the bad.”
“Your mother’s coming.”
“Today?!?”
“Yeah.”
“What’s the good, then?”
“She’s not coming until five.”
“That gives us two hours.”
“We should get busy.”
Justin began chucking clothes as Brian left the room. He returned with a roll of red velvet ribbon. Justin laughed as Brian wrapped it around him, making a big bow just above his ass.
“Lay down.”
Justin did and rolled over, sticking his ass in the air. “Merry Christmas.”
