Daphne smiled and leaned into Justin as September snapped another picture. She took her camera back, setting on the table instead of shoving back into her tiny purse, sure she’d want it again. It might not be the romantic Prom she’d dreamed about, but Daphne wanted to remember all of it.
Justin pulled her onto the dance floor, promising he’d take her to Babylon later where they wouldn’t be the only ones who could actually dance. It was just an excuse to look for Brian, but she didn’t care. She had her best friend back; she wouldn’t lose him again.
