challenge #53: weekends
Title: Normalcy (I-III)
Author: Exmptfromsanity
Timeline: Season 3- post season 5
Condoms: 3 to Hunter
I.
Weekends were never much good for work. Most of the johns were sitting at home with their wives and kids, pretending to be something they weren’t. He’d only get picked up once or twice and end up sleeping in an alley in that really skeevy part of town.
Weekends came too often. Business was far too slow.
One weekend he’d though he’d gotten lucky when he got picked up by that young guy in the nice car, the one who’d picked him over the other guys. He thought they’d be jealous.
He’d come back bleeding and ached for a week.
Things are different now. Today’s Saturday and its noon before he wakes up, beneath a thick blanket in a bedroom he doesn’t have to pay for.
He doesn’t have to worry about being hurt or making ends meet, because they realize he’s just a kid. They try to make him understand - they want to take care of him.
Some days he still has trouble believing it, that anyone would want to make things better for him.
But that’s why Michael and Ben make such great parents, because they don’t realize all the little things make such a huge difference.
III.
Slowly things change. Sucking cock changes to Ben having eggs on the table for him when he wakes up. The actions that left him bruised melt into spending Sunday afternoons watching action movies with Michael. And going home for the night changes from getting a guy willing to spring for a hotel room to making sure he’s home before his midnight curfew.
What’s normal transforms. What’s expected amends itself to this new lifestyle that he can finally allow himself to get comfortable in.
Normal teenagers might complain about this kind of treatment. They don’t know just how good normal is.
