Show and Tell: Just Another Club Thing Edition
Who doesn't love Babylon?

The thumpa thumpa of the music, the laser lights, the endless glitter,the hot, nearly naked,

dancing men...the back room? *flips on the fan*

From the opening moments of 101, to the ending shot of 513, Babylon became another beloved

character to me. It was where I met the boys for the first time, and it was where I

said a reluctant good-bye to them at series end.

But, in between, there were so many milestones that occurred at the bar, on the catwalk, in the

back room, and in my favorite part of Babylon...the dance floor.

Although I have many favorite Brian & Justin moments at Babylon, the scene I want to share with

you all today shows the guys all on the dance floor at the same time, which doesn't really

happen that often, and we have some playful and teasing conversation about Justin's acceptance

and rejection of a Dartmouth education. I couldn't find a shorter unedited clip, but what's not

to like about Episode 118 anyway?

	I love when Emmett comes into Babylon with Drew on his arm and everyone is agog, especially Brian! Too bad it was just a fantasy. (Reply to this)

	118 has to be my go to, one of my most favor-ite episodes..and one of the main reasons is the music in this episode from the start of i wanna be a cowboy to forever young and finally its a kind of magic at the end..and of course the brian/justin moments are bad either.. (Reply to this)

	410! There is nothing like the Sanctuary when Brian comes rushing in to find Justin to show him the woody. The way Brian picks Justin up and hugs him, so cute! Its like Brian can't wait to share it with Justin! 410 is love! ♥ (Reply to this)

Oh, so so many! Let's see.

One of my all-time favourites (and inarguably the most bad-ass scene in the series) is the end of 311 when they re-open the backroom. The lights, the music, the slo-mo as Brian swings the sledgehammer, the way he kisses Justin and allows him to lead the way, the two seconds of the hottest kiss we never get to see... Makes me melt into a happy puddle of goo everytime.

Justin's pole dance! YUUUUUUUMMMM.

Emmett's scarf dance is fabulous and sexy. I also love the scene when he and Michael go to Babylon and find out he's been tweaking, and later on when Brian talks to Emmett in 314. Heart-breaking, but beautiful.

Aaaaand Cha-cha. Can anything beat Cha Cha?

Oooooh, another one! When Emmett brings George to Babylon for the first time. I'm giggling everytime he says Brian is the love child of Ayn Rand and James Dean and Brian wants to buy him a drink :P And picking out guys to take home for a threesome is brilliant.

Let's hear it for the boy! Need I say more?

Okay, stopping now... I'm sure other people want to name some, too.

Oh, wait - just one more: the creation of E-Man! That was hilarious.

A lot of my favorite QAF moments happen in Babylon, now that I think of it. Hm.

Well, to start, 103 - Justin's first time inside Babylon. I love the exchange with the bouncer as he comes in:
Bouncer: ID
Justin: Right here.
Bouncer: Born 1952. You look damn good for your age, Vic.
LOL
Then of course the last scenes in that episode, with Brian having claimed Justin as his, and Em dancing on the catwalk.

Cha cha's right up there, naturally.

The theme nights are fun. Emmett, for one, knows how to get into these - remember Studs and Suds? Oh - and the Leather Ball - Em wore chaps. Ted wore a leather belt! :D

And there's Todd - Hey Todd, how's it going? Fiiiine!

But the first Babylon scene that came to mind was the one in 509 - Brian on the catwalk, imagining Michael is there with him. And Ted coming by to talk to him. "Anything. For a friend," says Brian. I love this exchange for many reasons. I'll leave unravelling them for another time.

309 is so great.
Another of my alltime faves would be 103 because we see it through Justin's and Daphne's eyes, the way Babylon is scary, sexy, tempting, so big and so very exciting. And let's hear it for the boy, well, that always makes me so happy.
I also have a thing for the whole 101 opening scene. First of all, for me, it was the beginning of a big love. But I also like the flow of it, how Michael introduces us to Ted and Emmett first - sings along with them - and then rushes to Brian Kinney who kills someone softly with his own song - I remember the first time I saw this, I was like: Wow, what a man.

King of Babylon, yay for that, too.

Oh, there are so many scenes to think of. I love Babylon.

	Ah, and the bittersweetness of 206. I love how confident Justin is and I love the kiss to seal the deal. Oh, and has someone already mentioned the backroom scene in 307? The eyefuck? God. That one kills me every time. (Reply to this)
