The Brian lip roll
I've noticed something that I've begun going back through and researching a bit more, but in the meantime I also wanted to bring it up for discussion to see if any of you had insight. Specifically--the lip roll. I've noticed that we really don't see it much until Brian starts becoming attached to Justin. By the time we get to the Britin scene in 511, he was practically rolling his face inside out. So...

Do you think it is something Gale specifically came up with for Brian to do as he realizes his feelings for Justin?
Do you think it is something Gale just does when he is feeling however he thought Brian felt and it was a happy accident that it came through in his acting?
Do you think there is no link at all to teh love and teh liproll?

Extra credit bonus discussion--does anyone have theories on Brian always chewing gum?

	I think the lip roll is a Gale thing because he does it in other roles. I've never noticed that the lip roll increased because of Justin, but I'll watch for it now! Brian is orally fixated that's why he chews gum, smokes, chews on toothpicks, likes kissing so much, and um, some other stuff he does with his mouth. (Reply to this)

	Ultimately, it is a Brian question as far as the base behavior and motivation goes. Looking at the post again, I see where my intent isn't did not come out quite as clear. I have never seen Gale in another role. In fact, up until recently, I denied there was a Gale. Cause you know, Brian is a real person. So I will answer in terms of Brian. snort.

Sooooo, I think it is something Brian does when he is feeling vulnerable or trying to come off as vulnerable. There are times he seems to do it unconsciously, others when he seems to be saying "Look how damn cute I am when I do this, how can you resist me?"

And I have to answer, you do look damn cute when you do it. As with the gum chewing.

Not a deep answer, I'm wading in the shallow end of the pool tonight, I guess. :)

	I always thought the gum chewing was related to drug use. They mostly chew gum at the club, and I know folks taking ecstasy sometimes chew gum to keep their teeth from grinding. (Reply to this)
