Wait, isn't that the arc where they don't even have sex?
But there are fortune cookies...
And tell me about Ibiza.
Vic the mad scientist with his evil ray gun.
Moms who love you vs. moms who just give birth to you.
Chinese herbalists with magic Happy Time tea.
Cocaine? Crystal? Caffeine? I love Ted.
And best of all, authoritative Justin with "Eat some fucking chicken soup!"
Throw in Sanctuary, with Brian in a black wife beater and a dorky blow me line...it's perfect.
*happy sigh*

At first I always watched the show from start to finish. Insert 101, don't leave the house until sobbing through 513.
(yes, that schedule put a cramp in my weekends and yes, 513 still makes me sob, but that isn't the point here. *snicker*)
I bounce around now, but always seem to end up back at the cancer arc. I know I watch it more than any other episodes.
And it wouldn't be a post from me if I didn't mention how heartbreakingly beautiful Brian looks through it.

Is there a certain arc or episode you find yourself watching more than others?
*now that I have had my squee fest, wanders off to go find my season four discs....*

*waves from opposite land* S4 is my least-watched season. But you've inspired me. I'm watching it next.

My happiest place on earth is 309-314. I love and adore Brian and Justin bringing down Stockwell and all that entails, including the hottest blowjob ever and Brian's "undefined, unconventional" admission to having a boyfriend and the best final scene in the history of television (as far as I'm concerned) in 314.

I'm also a huge fan of 510-513. I watch it almost as much as 309-314.

Let's pull a Freaky Friday...
While you dip your toes into your dusty S4, I will break out the S3.
Not that S3 is dusty, mind you, (I mean come on, it IS S3!!!) but it probably hangs out in a tie with 101 as second most watched.

Now my S5 is probably dust covered...well as much as any of my seasons can get.
But maybe I will buck up and do 510-513 after that. Will you hold my hand if I do?
I got issues, yo. *sobs*

I am still doing that one. I am interested to know what arc I will return to most!!

LOL.
It was a looooong time before I could even watch parts out of order or heaven forbid, a single episode. I saw all five seasons as just one super long episode.

I never would have survived watching it air live.
It would have killed me.

The whole Stockwell arc, definitely. My personal canon ended then. While there are some nice episodes after S3, I simply tend to blend them out in my memory. *g*

ROTF.
I have a few cringe worthy moments myself, but I couldn't imagine no S4 or S5.
Though there are few haircuts I would prefer to forget.

S4 and S5 are the ones I know least well so far (it's only been four or five months, though it seems a lifetime ago that I discovered this world!) ... I love 401, of course, and still fear 513 a little, and I randomly sample away at these two seasons as the mood strikes. I actually felt frustrated watching the cancer arc, in that I really really wanted Justin to be let in, to help Brian through it all. But as I've said before, if I'd been writing these episodes, there wouldn't be enough tension and drama to hold an audience, so it's just as well I'm a consumer and not a producer! :)

So far the episodes I keep coming back to are in early S2 (I adore the Pride episode and just pop it in occasionally when I need a 10-minute feel-good hit), and then 308 to the end of S3.

Pride is one of my only single episode watching favorites. Well that and 101. And 308. And...
*grin*

Part of my love of this arc is Justin forcing himself in and Brian having no real choice. Maybe admitting his place in his life? Hmmm... I think it says so much about how far they have come. Should Brian have told him from the beginning? Hell yes. But being a drama queen, I love how it plays out. Plus I like the Michael/Justin scenes so much. I go from being pissed to thrilled watching their friendship.

When I first discovered QaF I used to watch 204 and 205 on a loop. Pride and Have a Dream. I love love love early season two. I adore watching Brian help Justin through these episodes.

My favorite arc to watch is simply all of season three...or specifically 307 through 314. Watching Brian almost lose his soul; watching Justin find what he wants; Hunter, Michael and Ben, LOVE them; Teddy's descent into hell and this walking into rehab; Emmett losing his lover yet finding his own strength; Mel and Linds and their family; Debbie and her big mouth against that homophobe prick Stockwell....the entire season is a thing of beauty, but the latter part is almsot perfect television: too over the top story wise, but the characters human and compassionate.

Teddy's descent kills me. It is soooo hard for me to watch.
But removing that, this is also my happy place. I think that is why it surprises me that is isn't the arc I am most drawn to or watch the most. Maybe I am just a drama queen.

I happy dance everytime I hear:
"I never forgave Brian! I never had to. Because he never promised me anything. You did."
Even though Justin's heartbreak kills me, I just want to get up and cheer.

The cancer arc is definitely one of my favorites, and of course I could watch 308-314 'til the cows come home. But sometimes I get in the mood to watch 510 through 513, or 120 through 204, or even 301-308 (which then of course bleeds into 309 and 310...)

I also like to watch Michael and Ben's arc in season two, though it always kills me to watch 208 because I can't stand to see Michael all heartbroken like that. And I do like me some Hunter arcs. Both in season three as a hustler, and during the Cassie arc when he's outed at school.

Although I mentally edit out Sam Auerbach -- and for me, his repulsiveness is most of it, the arc itself is okay for me thematically -- and find the gun jerkoff scene and the gun-in-Hobbes' mouth scene intolerably painful, I love S4 best of all the seasons and have watched it more than any other. Without question it's my favorite Justin and Brian relationship season. They're so accepting of each other, they communicate so well and so often, and even the thing that makes Brian retreat to assholeness is at least something major and life-threatening and might trigger a catastrophic life crisis in anyone.

I'm incredibly sad that Vic dies, too, but love the use they made of him.

I do love S3, but there was this weird thing when I came to fandom of people who insisted their "personal canon" ended with 314, and whole comms set up to deny the existence of S4 and S5, and so much season-bashing, that I developed a sort of resistance to it. I love it probably as much as anyone does, and yet... I resist saying that.

I actually like 301-307 just as much as 308-314. Watching Brian and Justin recover from the hothouse intensity of the S2 implosion is a thing of beauty to me, and while I can hardly bear to watch late S2, I feel like 301 is a whole new slate, and we've gotten over the hump. It's not about them still being apart, it's about them both being as low as they can go in terms of personal integrity and honesty with each other at the end of S2, and then turning that around as individuals and then as a couple in S3. I really enjoy watching that.

I have to confess, the more mature Brian and Justin are, the more I like them. We see the first signs of that in S3, and it is well-established in S4, falters in S5. Then Justin pulls himself out of it pretty quickly, but Brian wallows around in it for a while, which I find painful. 506 is probably the episode I find hardest to watch as regards Brian -- he's beyond pathetic. In fact, 504-506 is just agony for his character. It's not that I hate him; I really never hate Brian. But I pity him, and that always makes me feel totally cringey inside. Particularly knowing how he'd hate that, LOL.

My addiction to grown up Brian and Justin is why I don't really mention S1 and S2. I would say that while I enjoy those two seasons -- well, okay, I frequently find S2 very painful -- if those were all we had, I doubt I'd be here. Brian and Justin are pretty fucked up in S2, even though their love is clear and there are many beautiful scenes and moments.

I do love the fuck out of Michael and Ben as a couple, and enjoy seeing them get together in S2. I PREFER them in other seasons, when they've worked things out, but I just love watching them fall for each other.

Season One... hmmm. There are no arcs I love per se, but many highlights. I also believe 122 is some of the best television I've ever watched.

"That's not love, that's hate... Justin, are you coming?" is pure gold as well.

That may sum up my love of S4 in a single sentence. Though I often joke that my favorite season is always the one I am watching at the time. I truly do love parts from every season, thus my obsession with all things QaF, but I keep coming back to S4.

Watching 101 always fills me with fangirly joy, though. Because I am immediately back to the first time I saw QaF, and I was hooked from there.

That just slays me. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. I've said time and time again that 314 is my favorite episode, and I suppose that when I think about it, that wouldn't have been a horrible place to end the series, but to actually deny two seasons of a show they claim to love? Ugh. People are so weird.

To me, it's 308-402, and then I skip to the cancer!arc.
308-311 because, well... *points to icon*

And as for season 4, I remember when I first came to the fandom and I saw so many people denying s4&s5's existence... I was completely baffled, because to me S4 was my favorite Brian/Justin season...They were finally getting to be equals, we even heard the Partner word (!), Justin got Brian and Brian wasn't so hard on Justin anymore...
And then, all you've listed above...

So of all the arcs I watch, apart from 309-311 Undercover Team!Britin, the Cancer arc is also my favorite.

Not having been around long, I was shocked to hear that people didn't feel the S4 and S5 love.

...Because how can you resist Debbie hugging Brian in the snow? *wibbles*
The tippy toes? Fixing his collar? Calling her mom? *flails*
As much as I adore High!Brian&Debbie or "you love him", this is my hands down favorite Brian Deb scene.

Even after all this time, I'm still a start to finish watcher. But if I had to pick an arc to watch out of order, it would probably be the S2 break-up arc. Yes, you read that right. It fascinates me much more than it causes me pain - because I know totally that it had to happen in order for them to get to a better place. And of course knowing that teh love will prevail makes it much easier to watch as well.
