He didn’t see it coming, if he had, Dean would have been more prepared for it. Honest he wasn’t even sure what it was since he hadn’t seen anything like it before, was like a overgrown earthworm with sharp teeth and spiky tail, however he had been drinking a bit, same ole Dean, everything go to hell, have a beer. Only this time he wasn’t sure how he could fix it, especially with Sam missing, the death of Bobby, dealing with his guilt with Lisa. It was too much for him to not have a drink, but he knew he wasn’t drunk, took more then a couple of beers to keep him liquored up.
The tail attacked him first, followed by the growling of as it slithered it’s way around to try and take a bite of him, “oh hell no,” he gasp out, pulling out his gun, since he never went anywhere without it. He didn’t have a chance to get a shot out, till it slam it body into him. Pain spread over his body, but it as less then he has felt before, but the flashes, the visions, now that was new and it was freaking him out.
“Son Of A Bitch,” he grasped out, trying to get it together, but then a spike caught his side, blinding pain caused more vision. “Bobby a ghost?” he groaned, then blinked as went to killing him again and then him and Sam fighting…”Dick?” he then point his gun, shot at the creature, hit it, which caused it to lash out and before Dean could react he was being knocked over, the worm was sliding over him, more flashes bright then before, seemed so real, had this happen?
Getting his bearing, he rolled out of the way before the spike got him, but it did land on his shirt, dragging him with it. Dean feet were trying to plant themselves on the ground, but when he got a grab, he started to choke from his. With his gun still in his hand, he moved his hand over his head, used the rest of the bullet to get it to release him.
His planned worked, the creature roared in pain, didn’t fight back, just kept running, leaving Dean on the ground, gun still over his head, bleeding from his side, panting to breath. The last vision he saw was Cas and him, standing in Purgatory and then Cas left him, alone, like he was now. Dean closed his eyes, trying to figure out what just happened and how he needed help, but Sam wasn’t here.
