"Where are you going Kaoru?" Daisuke had asked him as Kaoru gathered up the small bag of gorceries he bought. Kaoru looked over at his father and smiled.
"A friends house, we're working on some things for school." he chuckled and waved at his father as he walked out, "I'll be home soon enough. Don't worry."
Kaoru hurried out of his house and headed down the street and out of the area commonly refered to as Tosugareru to the more afluent section of Hirosaka. Tipping his hat at some ladies, who giggled and waved at him. Kaoru enjoyed the way people reacted to him. Popularity was not high on his list but he wasn't ashamed to say he was a bit proud of the fact that people looked up to him and admired his looks. He only wished those looks didn't come from his mother.
The eighteen year old paused to look at himself in the glass of a shop and tipped his hat to the side. He admitted to himself that he found both sexes attractive. Who he chose to date and when all relied upon the idea of who he felt was right for the him at the moment. Of course the idea of loving someone, even liking them, came after he got to know the person. The fact was he wasn't a virgin, but he'd only had three serious relationships in the past. All of whom had ended on decent terms.
Yori was, intersting. Sharp, attractive and in his own way dangerous. He was popular and Kaoru knew that he woiuld be a draw for the club. The fact was though that Kaoru had wanted Yori more for his skills at organizing things then for acting like a host. He saw him as a younger sibling, someone that he could willingly treat as a kindly as he wanted and take care of in a way. He liked him well enough, and figured that it was a good thing to keep being close with him.
Walking up to the house, Kaoru paused and almost hesitated. The alfuence here stuck out and he was sure that Yori would be out of place in Kaoru humble house in Tosugareru. Still he sucked up his doubts and rang the bell.
