What a conundrum. This was not the area with the nice traditional Japanese restaurants. Hotaru frowned and eyed her surroundings suspiciously. Clearly someone had placed a curse on her to ensure she would continue getting lost in this place!
...Or she could have the map upside down. She blinked at it and flipped it around. Well, that was better. At least now she knew she'd gone the wrong way. She crumpled the map up and shoved it into her purse, shrugging. Who needed a map, anyway? All she had to find was the right train station in time to catch a ride home and she'd be just fine.
Although she was hungry. Pausing, she spotted a convenience store and waltzed inside. It'd have something easy she could grab and nibble on to hold her over until she got home from her adventure in the city today.
She hummed as she peeked through the aisles when something caught her eye. Instead of stopping to look at it, she kept staring, even turning around to walk backwards from it as she determined whether or not she wanted to go back and check out that bizarre flavor of instant ramen (mystery flavored? Why call it 'mystery' flavored?) that was on sale for half the regular price. Probably because it wasn't attracting people's interest enough to purchase it.
Still walking backwards, she bumped into someone and jerked away, spinning around to check who it was. "Hey, I'm sorry! There was a ghost and it was very distracting floating above the aisle and I couldn't help but watch it instead of where I was going so it's not like I was being careless or anything really," she lied frantically in an attempt to excuse herself.
