Nomnomnomnom. WHO: Jamie and whoever! WHAT: Celebratory dinner. WHEN: Friday night, about 6pm. WHERE: Some restaurant. Haha. RATING: TBD OPEN? To anyone and everyone!
It had been a long time since Jamie had done anything that was noteworthy. He quit swimming after high school, and so the notoriety stopped for that. And now that he was studying all the time, he rarely made time for anything else. He made time to see and hang out with his girlfriend, but even that seemed to be happening less and less. It seemed that all Jamie’s hard work had paid off though, because he got a kickass shadowing position for the Providence Police Department. He would be shadowing a criminal psychologist, which was the exact job that Jamie wanted to do when he got out of college. He was majoring in Psychology, and minoring in Criminal Justice as well as Sociology, so that took a lot of work to keep up with all those classes. And Jamie didn’t want to spend any more time in school than he had to, so he still planned on graduating in May. It would be a lot of work, but he knew he could do it.
So tonight, Jamie decided to just push everything else off to the side, and just spend some time with friends. He had invited both Kate and Nicole to come to dinner, and told them both that they were free to bring anyone they wanted to. Jamie knew that Nic wasn’t going to bring Jason … Nic had told him about the whole break-up thing, though she didn’t want to go into detail as to why they broke up. But Jamie was fine with that, he didn’t want to upset her. They’d become pretty good friends, and Jamie liked hanging out with her. She made him laugh, and they always have a pretty good time.
And Kate was going to be there … which was exciting. Jamie hadn’t gotten much time to spend with Kate lately, and he wanted to remedy that. They were going to have some time to themselves after dinner, and Jamie was looking forward to it. Not just because they would more than likely have sex, but because he generally liked spending time with Kate. She was, after all, his girlfriend, and he cared about her. Maybe he’d finally get her to tell him what had been bothering her lately. She’d been acting weird as of late, and Jamie wanted to help in any way that he could.
Everyone met up at the restaurant around 5:45pm, and they got seated at their table. Jamie turned around and glanced at his friends, pretty excited that everyone seemed to show up and looked happy to be there.
