Snickering again as she told him to shut up and shoved him away, Jamie reached up and touched the area that she shoved. “Ouch, woman,” he laughed, rubbing the spot. “You’re pretty strong for a tiny little thing,” he teased, glancing at his chest and then back up at her. “Oh, you did amuse me, Miss Hunter. You gave me my amusement quota for the rest of the month. Good thing there’s only about another week left in it,” he smirked.
Jamie laughed again and rose a brow at her. “A slutty surgeon? How the hell do you dress like that?” he asked, glancing at the wall of costumes. “Besides, men don’t have slutty costumes. We have either really stupid ones, or really funny ones, or just dumb ones,” he said, shrugging. “Halloween is more fun for men, anyway, because we get to see you women in things like this,” he tapped the costume she had returned to the hook with his finger, smirking again.
Watching as Nic reached up to grab the Dorothy costume, Jamie shrugged at her question about plans. “I don’t know. I think Kate wants to do something, but she hasn’t said anything yet. She’s doing her job shadowing now, so she’s been pretty busy,” he said, trying not to grit his teeth. Jamie didn’t like that Kate was shadowing Jason … it bothered him. And he wasn’t going to lie and say that it wasn’t because Jason was her ex … that had everything to do with it. Snickering as she held the dress in front of her, Jamie tilted his head to the side and lifted his hand up to stroke his chin for a moment. “I think that works for you. Are you going to braid your hair into little pigtails too?” he teased, glancing at the wall of costumes for something to suggest. “What kind of a costume are you looking for? Anything specific?” he asked, glancing back at her.
