Jason smiled, raising a brow into the air. “Hey, I don’t know how often you get drunk, so I can’t really put a number on how many days. But I do know that when you do drink, you go all out. You don’t do anything halfway when it comes to getting drunk. I do remember that,” he smiled, the memories invading his brain. Jason and Kate didn’t do a lot of drinking when they were on the island together, but they did do a bit. And whenever they did, Jason would have to help Kate back to her room, because she was pretty drunk. Jason had gotten pretty drunk, too, but apparently he could hold his liquor better. He was well-aware of the smile that crossed his face when Kate told him that she didn’t know where her boyfriend was that night, but that he wasn’t with her, and he almost hated himself for it. He had no reason to be glad that Jamie wasn’t anywhere near Kate. They were dating, Jamie had that right. Even though Jason didn’t want him anywhere near Kate. But, Jason wasn’t anything to Kate, other than maybe a friend. He didn’t have the right to want to keep Jamie away from her, it just wasn’t right. He needed to get himself under control before he did something stupid, that he’d end up regretting.
Unable to help himself, Jason laughed when he heard that Kate was in the bathtub. “You’re laying in the bathtub?” he asked, shaking his head. He could just picture Kate laying there, absolutely minding her own business. “How is that working out for you, are you getting wet?” he asked, snickering. “Or, are you actually taking a bath? Because that might make more sense. Though, I haven’t ever really known you to actually make sense, in all the time I have known you,” he snickered a little bit, shaking his head. “What have I been doing?” he asked, then scratched his face as he tried to think. “Um, not much of anything, really. I moved out here a few months ago, and have still been just trying to get settled in. I’m still learning my way around the city, I get lost a lot,” he laughed. He paused for a moment, and rolled his lips into his mouth. “Marcus still talks about you, you know. He really liked you,” Jason chuckled a little bit. Marcus did more than talk about Kate, Marcus constantly hounded Jason about trying to win Kate back. But Jason knew that Kate was happy, and he didn’t want to infringe on that happiness at all.
