Afton's eyes were shut relaxing, one would have thought that he was sleeping, but no, he was merely relaxing. He was glad Chelsea had come to stay with them, but he still wasn't sure how he felt about all of this. The motions of war were only moving faster, and Afton didn't exactly want to have anything to do with it. As much as he thought Aro deserved what was coming to him, he didn't think war was worth it. The world was large enough that they could do their own things and let the rest live peacefully. It appeared as though even Vampires were not capable of living in piece.
Afton turned looking over at his wife. He was glad to have her by his side again, even if he was still uncomfortable with how they were at that present moment. Thins were not as they should be. She'd done something that he didn't agree with, she should have told him the truth. He hated Aro for it, and frankly he wasn't fond of Caius either.
"We need to decided if we should stay and fight or go off on our own." He paused. "It is unlikely we could avoid all of it. Aro has his eyes set on you." He spoke the thoughts that he'd needed to say since she first got there.
