Raccoon City has been destroyed. The public believe that the nuclear power plant melted down, and the resulting explosion wiped out the city’s population in the blink of an eye. The reality is far more sinister. However, few know of the true reason for the city’s destruction. The few survivors who do know the horrors that were unleashed have been discredited in the public eye by the one company no one would have expected. The Umbrella Corporation.

Inside Umbrella, business is running normally. Though the setbacks at Raccoon have cost the company dearly, it can afford a few leaks, the damage control required, just as long as it’s able to keep a lid on its secret. Its research in viral weaponry.

Now, in Beaver Falls, a small city much like what Raccoon used to be, Umbrella is hoping to make up for the research, equipment, and brilliant minds lost to it during the incidents of 1998. The S.T.A.R.S., and the few civilians lucky enough to survive the terror of Raccoon are hoping to expose Umbrella once and for all. And one man is hoping to make a fortune on the black market, with a virus he doesn’t know how to control.

This game takes place after the events of the popular videogames Resident Evil 0, 1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica. It is now 1999. However, the first movie, Resident Evil: Genesis, has not yet happened. The Hive is located in Beaver Falls, and not Raccoon. The regular Umbrella employees, however, know nothing more about the situation in Raccoon than the public. Only a select few are aware of what really occurred in the labs in the city and its surrounding area.

For playability’s sake, Albert Wesker did not abandon Umbrella after the Spencer Mansion incident. Also, Dr. William Birkin was not killed in the bowles of Raccoon City. The G-creature Leon and Claire destroyed was instead one of the U.C.S.F. troops sent to take the virus from him. Birkin was able to get away. Ada Wong, however, is dead. At least as far Umbrella is aware.

*The Backstory*
Shape shifters, vampires, and witches walk among us, undetected for centuries thanks to their cardinal law: Never let the humans know we exist. Of course, such a law is rather difficult to keep in a world where humans and supernatural creatures live side by side so there were stories and legends about fantastic, powerful creatures that stalked the night and walked throughout the daylight hours. Yet, despite the stories, few humans truly believe that such creatures existed. All the better, thought the monsters. All the better to survive, to live, to rule the secret underworld.

So they have existed, living with the humans, some even evolving to match the modern world but their world was not always peaceful. In all the major cities throughout the world, various species battle for control. The wolves own New York and London, the cats own Cairo and Los Angeles, the witches rule Dublin, Boston, Brighton, Salem. Yet, it is the vampire clans that hold the most power in the world, running major cities such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, Toronto, Berlin, Paris, and San Francisco to name a few. Yet each group wants more and will use their members to get it, whether the members want to be a part of the war or not.

*The Plot*
The vampires took control of San Francisco after 1906 but before then the city belonged to the witches and even now the witches scheme to take control once more. In the city there is an uneasy tension between the groups, especially as the Nocturnal clan has started to allow more werewolves in the city, upsetting the were-cats. At the moment there is peace but each group schemes and manipulates the other, their members caught in the middle of age-old grudges, mind games, furious brawls, and romantic entanglements.

It is up to the leaders of the groups to moderate their members and keep things under control. A difficult thing to do when the supernatural world seems to be at the edge of an internal war that is likely to spill out into the human world. But where do you stand? Are you going to help your clan retain peace? Or are you out for blood and a slice of your own personal glory? Or perhaps you'd rather sit back and manipulate the others from behind the scenes?

Either way, come join us in "Everybody's favorite city".

GAME STARTS JANUARY 21ST!

Halcyon Halls: An original supernatural PB school RPG

What if they were real?
The myths and legends.
The things that go bump in the night.
What if they were just like you?
Since the dawn of time they've been blamed for all of life's oddities. A strange noise? It must be a ghost. Pets mangled and eaten? Maybe a werewolf got them. That pale man that never ventures out in the day? A vampire, surely. Children behaving badly must be changelings, and that table had to have been forced into your path by a mischievous sprite, now giggling at your misfortune.

The list goes on. For each being, there are hundreds of tales, most pure delusion of course, though much of it based in fact.

From Nessie and Sasquatch to the Bermuda Triangle and the Land of Mu, our world is filled with the unattainable, the unexplainable... that which we call Myth, or Legend.

Yet, like the Will O' the Wisp, or the ghost breath that sends a shiver down your spine, the truth tugs softly at our conscience. Whispers in the dark of a boogeyman in the shadows, or a fairy spinning gossamer tales in the corners of your mind. They are real. And in so many ways... they are just like you. They work. They feed. They even have children. And just like humans, those children go to school.

School however, isn’t always as just classes and homework. Strange old castles often have far more lurking about them than is so readily apparent. Ancient curses have been set loose on the school. Memory loss. Sickness. Power switching... Was it an accident? Or are more sinister plans afoot? Unanswered questions abound as the students and staff first try and understand exactly what has happened to them...

Welcome to Halcyon Halls.
We're changing the future one myth at a time.
