“I guess so? I don’t know what cabin you were in before but this is number two. Jersey is in four. Were you in four? And where the hell did you disappear to?” Was he in one of those other domes that existed she’d been mentioned to about? “Honey, you haven’t been anywhere for a week. I’ve been here for a couple of months, I think, and you’ve not been anywhere even remotely near here.” This was turning even more confusing and she was about ready to just give up because it was making her brain hurt. Understanding it fully wasn’t going to change he was here now and Linc wasn’t.
“Doctor. Haven’t met one of those yet. I guess I’m you. Well, not you obviously you’re you, but I can do the healing thing.” Which made her sort of like a doctor and the only one in here, unless he could also heal. “What can you do?” She followed him to the bathroom when she realized he wasn’t actually using it and he’d left the door open.
“Yeah. I’ve been sharing a cabin with him since I got here.” And now he was gone. Just like that. “This sucks.” She leaned against the wall and smacked her head off of it lightly in frustration. “Now I have no escort, no one I’d gotten used to, and no one to…” She sighed. It didn’t matter. “Don’t suppose you’re invulnerable and not afraid of the hallucinations out there, are you?”
