Britni shook her head. “No, she’s two doors down.” She pointed in the direction of cabin four. “I’m confused. Also, Britni, but very confused. I can’t be a hundred percent but I think Linc was here earlier.” Unless he’d been taken out that morning. How had she not noticed that, if that were the case? Holdyn wasn’t a name she was familiar with either and she hadn’t seen him when Jersey had that group dinner a few nights ago, yet he hadn’t just woken up here either if he knew Jers.
“Ohhhhkay. So you’re not new but I’ve never seen you. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen or heard your name. Hold on a second.” She wandered back to her room and pulled on a pair of shorts and a baggy t shirt she slept in before grabbing her phone. She walked back, flipping through the contacts list. Linc’s name was gone. She looked up at Holdyn. “You took his place.” Moving him would have been odd but understandable but just disappearing in general? Why? “Now who are you?
