The Mission: Nagi, Schubert and Aric [Open]
Aric felt his breath rush out in a huff as the table slam into his back. It took his body a moment to relax enough that he could draw a breath. Christ almighty, he thought as the knives embedded themselves to into the table, for all his combat skills he was at a marked disadvantage facing off against an opponent with telekenisis. He made a mental note to ask for a raise later.
Aric was never one to take the easy way out, quitting was never an option, and Aric wasn't one to rely on the kindness of strangers - so wasn't about to count on the sincerety of his opponent's earlier statement that he didn't want to hurt him - even if it was for Tot's sake. "I sincerely hope not." He offered in response, utilizing all his strength to pull his right arm away from the table, grimacing first at the sound of ripping fabric - hell, the suit he was wearing was tailored to fit and was sodding expensive - and secondly at the bite of a blade cutting into his skin when his movements pulled it loose from the table. With his arm free he reached for the handle of the knife - he wasn't sure if he could wrest control of it from his oponent, but he sure as hell was going to do his best to keep it away from his face. "You may kick my arse yet mate, but I don't have to make it easy on you." Besides, the longer his opponent was distracted by Aric, the better chance Schubert had of escaping - if he opted to take it. Of course being the recipient of his opponents attention also decreased the likelihood that he could free himself fully without his opponent responding. He tensed, intently watching for the right opportunity to act.
