The Reception: Aya/Schreient/Ken/Open
"/Don't be so certain./" Aya gave Ken a speculative look but did not otherwise move when he clambered down the van. "/I am not after anyone. Well, at least not tonight,/" he added, in undertone.
"/However, you leave me with very limited choices. Let me rephrase this, someone somewhere is making sure that people like you are my business./" Aya thinned his lips. "/The dealt with the business end type of business./"
Aya had no wish to reveal his support base, if he could call it that way, but considering Henri's presence, he would have to assume that Weiss knew of his current association, however uncertain, with Schreient. Though it might not be common knowledge among Kritiker, Ken would have been one of the first to know, if Omi chose to share the information. Still, he was in no hurry to put the topic on carpet, which will inevitably imply that he must decide very soon whether or not to reveal Weiss' involvement. And unfortunately enough professionalism did oblige...
"/And why are you here? For whom? What is the condemnation?/" A question for a question after all, and Aya had to believe that Omi would not send the team out if he did not think that the victims where truly irredeemable reprobates. Pride or guilt never were reasons to condone acts of malevolence, and if Tot's clients were truly damnable, well then he would need to discuss with her. Probably should, either way.
Damn it, that was exactly why Abyssinian preferred to work alone. Reporting and following orders were not his best skills.
