The Reception: Aya/Schreient/Ken/Open
Aya lifted an eyebrow wryly. So he was not the only one surprised, good to know. Otherwise he'd have to seriously reconsider his opinion of Omi. While he did give sign of life after Weiss' mole in Schreient, Henri, contacted him, Aya did not expect to see any of his ex-teammates before the agreed upon rendez-vous time. Of course, considering this was Ken, it was fully possible that he decided on a whim to come hunt Aya down to give the latter a piece of his mind, but this was a full mission getup, judging from the equipment Aya could see from the corner of his eye.
Laconically putting his gun back into its case and crossing his arms, Aya leaned back on his heel in a show of no threat. Of course, such trust did not extend as far as turning his sight off Ken's face and shoulders, in case the other thought wise to throw in a punch or two, just because.
"/Work,/" Aya offered, not quite helpfully. Then he added an explanation, reconsidering his word, as such work was not really within his normal area of exercise nor taste. (Sadly those ran to the less and less legal, lately.) "/Paying rent, really,/" which he supposed was the closest to the truth of what he was doing for Tot.
"/You have a hit./" Aya narrowed his eyes. "/The newlywed?/" Weiss specialized on one type of case only and those tended to run on the bloody side, which meant that his charges tonight had a very good reason to be worried after all. And that they haven't been entirely honest, which was only to be expected. Though he had no love lost for the people who hired Schreient, he did commit for the job and was honor bound to follow, short of extreme situations. This could become a problem.
