"Well, the bracelet's made your luck for you then," Klaus shrugged. It didn't matter to him how or why Ray was there. The reasons were irrelevant to the fact of the matter - which was Klaus now had his own agenda and anything else that may have been on the table... well, it would just fall to the wayside because Klaus was in the habit of getting his way. It had been working splendidly so far and he wasn't intending for the trend to stop anytime soon. Ray was much feistier than Alex had been. But then, Alex had been quite easy to blackmail. The death of friends always seemed to be a good motivator. But as it stood now, Ray was alone and that meant Klaus had little in the way of incentive.
"It's not twisted, mate. I'm setting you free," he countered Ray, his own tone a bit patronizing in the face of the werewolf's disgust. "So you listen and you listen closely," Klaus leaned in, the casual nonchalance shifting into a hardened focus. "I've given you blood - I'm going to assume you've already begun the transition," Klaus looked Ray over again, "That means you are on the path to a very nasty, very painful death." He feigned an apologetic look, "Sorry 'bout that...," Klaus leaned away again and smirked. "But I can save your life," he offered calmly.
"Wouldn't it be nice to no longer be a slave to what you are?" Klaus teased. "A werewolf no longer beholden to the moon. Eternal life," he lifted a hand in a absent gesture, "You can die - you will die, it's only a matter of time. Or I can set you free," he repeated his prior statement. "So how about you dust that chip off your shoulder and we have a chat about it?" Ray's disgust had little bearing on him for the time being. Even if the werewolf hated him, Klaus was certain he wouldn't stare death in the fact with that same malice. He would give in. Survival was always a surefire way to ensure the compromise of one's morality and disdain.
