Charity had made sure to cook some of Molly's favorites, never knowing when her eldest daughter might be home to visit again. It wasn't that she wasn't proud of Molly for going out and starting a life of her own--she was--but Molly would always be her little girl. She hadn't always done the best job of being a mother, or perhaps she'd tried a little too hard to create the perfect home, and she worried...
But she tried not to let the worry consume her as she sent the younger children to bed, and the older ones off to their respective activities. Cleaning up the kitchen with Michael helped her to stay grounded.
She dried her hands as Molly returned, an opened her arms. "Of course, Molly. Whenever you're ready."
