A strong sense of family had been drilled into Daniel Carpenter all his life. He believed he wouldn't be the man he was, if not for the love and support of his family. Being holed up with a good number of them even in such close and confined quarters didn't really bother him, especially if it kept them safe.
A few moments alone with Inari was a gift, and Daniel intended to take advantage of every moment. He looked up to meet her eyes. There was no risk of a soul gaze, they'd already shared that experience, and it was a one time deal. Daniel was a young wizard, barely tapped into his powers, with so much to learn. He was grateful he and Inari had already had their soul gaze, allowing him to look into her eyes now without incident.
