Who: John & Cameron (mankindsavior & icall9mm)
What: An eager reunion; John has a lot to tell her about the place they're now in, once he gets over the fact that she's here.
Where: Los Angeles (Chaos verse)
When: Thursday morning
Rating/Status: TBD / Active
Even as relief and other emotions flooded his body John knew the smart thing was to be cautious. Words could lie so easily. There was no guarantee that it was really her. Time travel was familiar enough to John from his own world but the Project seemed to bend or break every rule of science and reality. Whether or not her chip was in tact and she was good was his main concern, but he also had to worry about if she was the Cameron he knew at all. There was a chance, even if slight, that she hadn't been reprogrammed yet and was simply fulfilling her mission. The mission at the core of every terminator.
It was a risk John was willing to take. He needed to see her. He needed to know, one way or another.
While the house wasn't precisely the same (one of the quirks of parallel or alternate worlds, he supposed) it was familiar territory nonetheless. He knew how to navigate it quickly if he needed to. It wasn't where he had been staying the past few months; he knew better than to use that as a meeting point, just to be safe. He hadn't told anyone where he was staying, not that there was anyone for him to tell.
John tried to keep from pacing, lingering near the front window so he could glance out every few minutes. The last time he had seen her, really her and not -- he shook his head hard and ran a hand through his hair. That was something he had been doing his best not to think about, and in a way he was glad that his time in the future had been cut short by this Project thing. The less he thought about her origins, at least when it came to outer design and model purpose, the better. It wouldn't change anything or how he felt but it was better for his peace of mind.
Having Cameron -- his Cameron -- here would be better for his peace of mind, and he really didn't care that people from the future or his family would take issue with that.
