Dan turned his head a little to look at her and smiled a little, leaning over to press a lingering kiss to her forehead. "This is not our world yet, but we have to make do with what we've got," He told her gently. "We can't give up, there's too much good in life that we can still have." He reminded her, his smile brightening a little. "I mean we're gonna be 18 in less than a year, and then we'll have to start planning on getting married and figuring stuff out around school and work and shit." But he was so looking forward to it all, even the hard work. He loved her endlessly, and he knew deep down that he would always love her. No matter what anyone thought or said, she was made for him.
Sitting up a little, he shifted to kiss the corner of her mouth. "You just have to have faith, baby." He reminded her, reaching to run a hand through her blonde hair, tingling his fingers in the ends. "We just have to fight and we'll make it through all of this. We'll be like the focus of our very own Bon Jovi song," He told her, grinning at that. He had inherited plenty from his father, but his love of Bon Jovi had been a serious point of bonding between them over the last two decades-ish that he had been alive. "Lilly and Danny rhyme with a lot of stuff, after all."
He turned the volume on the movie down so that they could chat like this for a little bit. He figured neither of them were that interested in it anyway. "What do you say we go make something to munch on and we'll pop in a Blu Ray? That way it'll actually be good. I haven't really eaten at all today," He told her, sliding to stand. "Actually no one really had so we can make dinner and deliver it to everyone before we watch. What do you think, babe?"
