"My angel..." he murmured the words almost under his breath, smiling without thinking about it. Adam didn't know how such simple words could bring him peace but they did. She did. Back before his life went crazy Diana had been his home for the longest time. Even before they were old enough to date they had been close childhood friends. Adam had lost everything he thought he knew so swiftly there were times he thought his head was still spinning from it. But now with Castiel here, he felt that security once more. He felt it with a certainty he had never felt toward anything before.
The fingers of one hand curled in her hair as he stayed close, relishing the moment while he had it. After a time he felt himself settle, finding equilibrium in the shelter of her embrace. For one of the first times he could remember, Adam didn't feel the presence of his dark magic. He felt light and genuinely happy. Smiling, he kissed her neck and let his lips travel up to her jaw before he lifted his head so that he could look at her. "You're more than I could ever hope for. A perfect vision normally reserved for dreams." His gaze and tone were fond, and Adam softly kissed her lips. He felt like he could kiss her forever and not grow tired of it.
