She could be strong for him. She could put aside her own guilt and the penance she felt necessary for his sake. Adam was important, afterall, the most important human in her life at the moment. Because of her love for him he ranked just a little bit higher than Deanna and Sam. Running her fingers through his hair she smiled as she felt him relax. He'd been tense. Telling her all of that had been exhausting for him and she could feel it the moment she embraced him. He felt better now and she hoped to always be able to offer his this level of comfort and peace. He deserved a safe place.
"You don't need to thank me." She said softly. "I'm your angel." She wanted him to be happy and she'd do anything within her power to make sure he was. Turning her head she placed a kiss to his dark hair. They could stay like this for as long as he wanted or needed to. She liked the feeling of him so close, she even liked the feeling of his face buried against her neck.
